Wikipedia is not a web host for holding personal web pages
[edit]Wikipedia is not a web host for holding personal web pages unrelated to work on building the encyclopaedia. You are, of course, very welcome to start making contributions to the encyclopaedia, in line with Wikipedia policies and guidelines, if you are interested in doing so, but if you wish to have a personal web page, then there are many web sites which provide that sort of service, but Wikipedia is not one of them.JBW (talk) 11:02, 21 August 2024 (UTC)
After I posted the message above you have continued to edit only to build a personal web page. What you wrote there also appears to indicate that you are thinking of Wikipedia as rather like a social media site, where you and your friends can write about yourselves and read about one another. As I explained above, that is not what Wikipedia is for, but there are other websites where you can do that. I have deleted your userpage. JBW (talk) 11:46, 21 August 2024 (UTC)
