[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Philip K. Dick, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Le Marteau (talk) 10:13, 15 July 2022 (UTC)
- Ok, But I was following from what others had written on other authors. So I thought I was following the norm. I did not mean to make waves. -
- Plus I am related to Philip K. Dick. LamePenny (talk) 12:47, 15 July 2022 (UTC)

[edit]I note you claim to be related to a fair few people with articles on Wikipedia. As a general rule, "personal knowledge" has no authority on Wikipedia because it is unverifiable; all that counts is what is available in reliable sources. I have reverted your most recent on Mel Gibson because it is contrary to the ref which was there. Dorsetonian (talk) 15:59, 15 June 2023 (UTC)
- Well, I can prove my relationship with Mel Gibson, and his name is INCORRECT here on Wikipedia. His Correct name can be found on Geni.com So, I took it a pond myself, to correct stupidity. If you need proof, I can provide a Screen show of our linage or a PDF. - And Yes!, I am related to a boat load of Famous/Historical People. And I can provide the same proof.(lineage) if so be it!

- I am not looking for proof; as I said, it makes no difference. However, your reference is to an unreliable source (unverified user-generated content) so would be no value for sourcing purposes, i'm afraid. Dorsetonian (talk) 18:14, 15 June 2023 (UTC)
