Nintendo task force membership update
[edit]Hello,
It's that time again to update membership status with the Nintendo task force, which we try to do periodically to keep our membership up-to-date.
All participants have been placed on an "Inactive participants" list. To confirm that you're still a member of the Nintendo task force, simply go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Nintendo#Members and move your name from the "Inactive participants" list to the bottom of the "Active participants" list. If you are no longer an active member in the task force, you may simply remove your name altogether. After 1 month, on 1 August 2011, all entries under the "Inactive participants" list will be removed. Hopefully you can stay with us and continue to work on Nintendo-related articles. [edit]WE would appreciate if you could delete our site from wikipedia blacklist. Sorry to have found ourself in this circumstance. We look forward to hearing from you. Cheers — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hodmans (talk • contribs) 05:37, 9 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hello Hodmans. I'm very sorry, but I am afraid that I don't know what you are referring to when you say that you would like to have your website removed from Wikipedia's blacklist. I'm sorry, but I think I just may have forgotten about an action I have done previously which has resulted in your concern. Please elaborate on the situation you are in, and I will try my best to help you out. Thank you. Lamb99 (talk) 07:26, 10 August 2012 (UTC)

[edit]The fifth generation of Pokémon have finally been announced. To see the Wikipedia article, click here Goat999 (talk) 00:29, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- VERY interesting. Thank you for showing me this. Lamb99 (talk) 01:37, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
Also, go to giancarloparimango11's channel or to serebii.net to see much more info. Goat999 (talk) 13:56, 10 April 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Numerous times, you have said that you cannot find the Urdu Wikipedia. If you wish to view this page, click here. Also, how does one use Twinkle? Goat999 (talk) 20:41, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you for the link to the Urdu Wikipedia. Using Twinkle follows the same steps as using Friendly. When on someone's talk page, go to that arrow I talked about and go to the selection that says, "Warn". Then, choose your template and follow the other directions. Also, Twinkle provides you with three types of rollback functions and includes a selection of speedy deletion functions and automatic reports of vandals to administrators. Lamb99 (talk) 01:13, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
Thank you for this info. Also, I see that you have pre-typed messages to warn vandals. I have currently administered a Level 1 warning to a person and used my own typed message. Can you please show me where these messages are? Also, what is the link for the Wikipedia Q&A?
P.S. When I use Google Chrome on Urdu Wikipedia, the translate bar comes up and it says this page is in Persian, and when you click translate, only 5-20 words are actually translated, which are the loan words. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Goat999 (talk • contribs) 01:18, 31 March 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, Lamb99 That way is only if you want to link and add additional text. If the text is the same, it is easier to use the double brackets. -Goat999
{{helpme}}
I don't quite understand how links and citations work. Could you explain it for me?
Here’s how references work and how they are created:
- All claims must be supported by a book, website, or news organization independent of the subject of the article. The source must be reliable, meaning it cannot be a blog, MySpace page, or a personal website. This makes it difficult, if not impossible, to prove that an inaccurate statement is true, and that it should stay in the article. However, the policy is about verifiability, not truth. See WP:Verifiability and WP:Reliable sources for more on this.
- Go to the article you wish to edit, then click ‘edit’ or ‘edit this page’.
- Type a claim into the article. Don’t click the save button.
- If you already have a book, magazine, or any other non-online reference to support the information you added to the article, skip this step. In another tab or window, go to Ask.com, Google, or your preferred search engine, and search for the subject of the article you are editing. Find a website that supports the information you added to the article.
- In yet another tab or window, go to this website; it has a little tool to help you make references for Wikipedia articles.
- Click the appropriate circle on the left, depending on whether your source is a book, website, journal, magazine, etc. (Even if the website is a newspaper company, if you got the reference from a search engine, it counts as a website, even if it’s a PDF, as there’s a field to specify the format of the website if not HTML.)
- Fill in as many fields as you can, then click ‘Get Reference Wiki Text’.
- Highlight and then copy (Ctrl+C) the resulting text, then paste it (Ctrl+V) after the information you added to the article, with no leading space.
- If you need more help, check out Wikipedia:Verifiability, Wikipedia:Reliable sources, and Wikipedia:Citing sources, ask me on my talk page, or click the button at the bottom of this page. Thanks! Samwb123T (R)-C-E 15:27, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Lamb99, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like this place and decide to stay. Here are some tips to get you started:
- Please respect your fellow Wikipedians, remain neutral, cite your sources, and if a rule prevents you from improving or maintaining Wikipedia, ignore it.
- Edit a page by clicking 'Edit this page' or 'Edit' on the top of the page.
- Use the Wikipedia sandbox or create your own personal sandbox to experiment.
- Sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username and the date.
- Cite your sources using <ref></ref> tags. For example, type <ref>Example reference. http://www.example.com. Accessed January 1, 1900.</ref> to produce this tag:[1]
- ^ Example reference. http://www.example.com. Accessed January 1, 1900.
- To create an article, use the article wizard.
- Consider joining a WikiProject.
- Use two apostrophes for italic text (''italic text''), three apostrophes for bold text ('''bold text'''), five apostrophes for bold and italic text ('''''Bold and italic text'''''), two brackets for an internal link ([[page name]]), two brackets and a pipe (|) for an internal link with different text to be displayed ([[page name|text to be displayed]]), the link, including the http:// prefix, for external links (http://www.example.com), one bracket and a space for an external link with different text to be displayed ([http://www.example.com Text to be displayed]), and two curly brackets for {{templates}}. See this page for more formatting marks.
Also take a look at some of these pages:
If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or click the button below. Happy editing!
Again, welcome! Samwb123T (R)-C-E 22:40, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
Colors
[edit]Really quick, I found a good website for finding the hex number for colors. [1] – Samwb123T (R)-C-E 21:55, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but I'm having trouble using this. Can you help me? Thanks.--Lamb99 (talk) 21:59, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
- Under Color:, select the color you want from the list. Then click 'convert to hex/RGB'. Then, on your userpage, where it says
<div style="background: peachpuff; border:2px solid orange; padding:4px; margin:0px 0px 4px 0px; {{round corners}}">
, change 'peachpuff' to the hex number you want the background color to be and change 'orange' to the hex number you want the border color to be. Samwb123T (R)-C-E 22:03, 15 March 2010 (UTC)- Okay, thank you!--Lamb99 (talk) 22:07, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

[edit]i wish you to reconsider how james t kirk was vandalism, it was more a listing of facts of how his command style is lesser than that of picards —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.184.46.2 (talk) 02:31, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
- Your facts were not referenced in any way, so they had to be removed. You also wrote many "facts" that showed how James T. Kirk was worse than picards in harassing ways. Lamb99 (talk) 02:35, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
- ok well its impossible to harass a fictional character and im pretty sure kirk is man enought to take it, and my reference is the franchise all people have to do is watch it and find out, and there is no one episode that is the proof the proof is in picards being more awesome —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.184.46.2 (talk) 02:41, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
- I understand. Your edits were made in good faith. I will remove the warning from your talk page. However, try not to post anything like that in the future, as Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a place to voice your opinions. You may do that elsewhere. Thank you. Rollback
[edit]I have granted rollback rights to your account; the reason for this is that after a review of some of your contributions, I believe you can be trusted to use rollback correctly, and for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck and thanks. Sockpuppetry case
[edit]Your name has been mentioned in connection with a sockpuppetry case. Please refer to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Luis Oida for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to cases before editing the evidence page. wiooiw (talk) 20:21, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
- Checkuser confirms you are not related to the main case or to Goat999. Like I said, the sockpuppets kinda pulled you into the case. wiooiw (talk) 19:02, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you! Now, to go back fighting vandalism! But I just have one question before I go. Will the sockpuppetry case be on my records? Lamb99 (talk) 19:10, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
- No. But even if it is, it will probably be good for your record that the CheckUser confirms that you and Goat999 are unrelated. Samwb123T (R)-C-E 23:47, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
- True that. Lamb99 (talk) 01:28, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

How on earth is linking the mention of Lewis's in this article to the Wikipedia article on Lewis's "unconstructive"? An "informative edit summary" was provided. Please be more careful in future. --TAS (talk) 21:58, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
