Conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Lakshaykk. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 21:30, 21 September 2022 (UTC)
Undisclosed paid editing Antara Nandy
[edit] As previously advised, your edits, such as the edit you made to Antara Nandy, give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Lakshaykk, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Lakshaykk|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia.
You should not be editing the article directly, even when you have made the mandatory declaration. And you should definitely not remove tags that were put there to draw readers attention to the fact that there are serious problems with the article. Even if you have addressed all these problems (which you may have, though I doubt it) it is not appropriate for you, as an editor with a conflict of interest to remove the tags. - And you have not addressed the issues. As far as I can see, not one source in the article is independent of Nandy. When I have some time, I will investigate, and quite likely nominate the article for deletion. The way to save it from deletion is to find at least three sources, each one of which is reliably published, wholly unconnected with Nandy, her associates, or any institutions she may be connected with, and containing significant coverage of her, not just passing mentions.

- Hey ColinFine, Thanks for reaching out. I'll make sure to work more properly and I am new to the editing role here. I'll try to fix every issue over there. And let me know I need to know more of it. Thanks Lakshaykk (talk) 14:39, 25 September 2022 (UTC)
If you do not properly disclose your paid editing status, your account will be blocked. DO NOT make further edits until you make this disclosure. Follow the instructions given to you at the top of this section. ~Anachronist (talk) 20:03, 25 September 2022 (UTC)
- Lakshaykk made a further edit to Antara Nandy after their post above acknowledging my comment. The edit was wrongly tagged as minor, and had a misleading edit summary. ColinFine (talk) 09:38, 26 September 2022 (UTC)
- Hey ColinFine, I was sick from past two, didn't able to reach you out again. I'm sorry for that I'll make sure to recover my mistakes my today just need some help if you could help me out here in editing that. So every issue will be resolved.
- Thanks Lakshaykk (talk) 08:12, 27 September 2022 (UTC)
- I'm sorry if you were ill. But the fact remains that after you acknowledged my message above you made a further edit to Antara Nandy without making the required disclosure. This means that you knowingly contravened Wikipedia's Terms of use.
- What help is it you are asking for? If it is how to make the disclosure, see WP:COIPAYDISCLOSE. ColinFine (talk) 22:04, 29 September 2022 (UTC)
- In any case, unless you (or somebody) find several independent reliable sources with significant coverage of Nandy, that article is likely to be deleted soon. --ColinFine (talk) 22:06, 29 September 2022 (UTC)
