Side issues from Amhara genocide RM discussion
[edit]You wrote: If doing so is against Wikipedia rules I will take full responsibility as he has nothing to do with my mistakes.
I don't think there's any "rule" against copy/pasting someone else's words on talk pages (legally it's allowed in terms of copyright: all our text here is CC BY-SA licensed), but it doesn't make sense, and you're unlikely to be taken seriously if you copy/paste someone else's arguments (or copy/paste/edit them) and then sign. If you agree with that person's arguments, that you can say something like "I agree with X" and then briefly summarise X's point. Or quote the text if you feel it's worth quoting. See plagiarism for a general discussion of where copy/pasting is more than just annoying, but a lot more serious. Each of us has his/her own way of writing: you should write in the way that makes sense to you, not copy/paste/edit someone else's text and sign that in your name. (Apart from some exceptions, copy/pasting is a much worse problem in Wikipedia articles; see WP:COPYVIO.)

The problem is not when sources are "non-Western", it's when there is insufficient evidence of the principles of independent verification of evidence, and when the sources don't themselves make clear claims that the events should generally be described as the "Amhara genocide". See genocide studies to learn about the people who study genocide based on academic principles of gathering evidence, saying clearly where information comes from, taking into account counter-evidence, and publishing their analyses in journals where anonymous other scholars judge if the research has been conducted properly and correctly described, with valid conclusions. In the particular case of genocide, it's not just evidence of the events that matters; genocidal intent is also needed if the event(s) are to considered genocide. From the Wikipedia editorial point of view, it's up to those external sources to make those interpretations of events and intent; Wikipedia only summarises. Boud (talk) 23:10, 17 January 2023 (UTC)
