A tag has been placed on LiquidApps, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of LiquidApps and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Iunaw 00:25, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

Help
[edit]I am attempting to add an article that I have tried to write in an encyclopedic fashion. It is about a software product, but I have attempted to model it after other software articles, using citations and references, and trying to use a good neutral point of view. While i was in the process of editing, my computer locked up and by the time that I had it back online and reconnected the article had been deleted as blatant advertising. I would greatly appreciate some advice for making the article acceptable - not advertising. Thanks! LadyHawk89 (talk) 01:40, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hi;
- you can request that the admin who deleted the article send you a copy of it, by email. To do this, ask on their talk page,
User_talk:Iunaw.User_talk:Gwen Gale corrected, Gwen Gale deleted "LiquidApps" (G11: Blatant advertising) Iunaw 02:08, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
- It's quite difficult to write material about such a product that is suitable for an encyclopaedia. Firstly, the product has to be notable. Second, there are often problems with a conflict of interest.
As I can't 'see' the page (it was deleted), I can't help much more directly - but if you do have further questions (after reading those sections), please contact me.

LiquidApps
[edit]Hi,
I notice you've been working on User:LadyHawk89/LiquidApps, and I hope that comments from me might be constructive.
Generally, I think it's getting close to being 'acceptable' as an article; a few comments;
(1) I'd suggest removing the link to the application website near the top of the article. It's in 'external links', and the infobox; lots of links makes it look like spam - especially in the main body like that one.
(2) wikilink cross-platform in the head
(3) Remove weasel words and sales-type dialogue, ie "create and grow exciting products" "gaining traction in the government" - give fact, with cite, if possible "sales to many of the larger prime contractors" - perhaps avoid "many" and put the actual number
(4) I see from your comments you are looking to find more references; if these are to reasonably well-known sites, then they would certainly help your case.
Of course, all of these comments are IMHO.
Good luck with the article,
If I can help further, please leave a message on my own talk page.
