your edits to Andrew Collins and Carl Peterson

[edit]

I have reverted your edit to Andrew Collins and Carl Peterson. It looked like you were trying to create an articles on about football players over the existing disambigulation pages. If you are going to create the articles, please give it a unique name, perhaps with (Australian footballer) after the name. You can then link to it on the disabigulation page, if one exists. --EarthPerson 09:46, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Did you mean to create a new article with such a general title for these very specific stats. It would be better to incorporate these into the Richmond Tigers page. StoptheDatabaseState 00:21, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lachlan Stirling

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Lachlan Stirling, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Slp1 03:05, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome

G'day Lachy, I suggest you take a look at WikiProject AFL if you love your footy. If you want to start pages for the new draftees, a better idea is to use an existing players page as a template - have a look at Clayton Collard or Scott Gumbleton as a guide for new draftees - just make sure you change all the details and don't miss anything! Learn to add things like categories and stub markers so that your pages don't get deleted. Hope you have fun contributing so that the world can learn more about our great game. I'm going to change the name of your Stats and profiles page to Richmond Tigers stats and profiles, but it probably needs a lot more work to make sure it does duplicate what is already on the Richmond Football Club page. Drop us a line with any questions mate. Cheers, The-Pope 02:12, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Gippsland soccer league, by Qwghlm, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Gippsland soccer league seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Gippsland soccer league, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Gippsland soccer league itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 14:35, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Lachy554! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 6 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Daniel Connors - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
