Image source problem with Image:JBernal 078.jpg
[edit]This is an automated message from a robot. You have recently uploaded Image:JBernal 078.jpg. The file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 05:35, 4 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If you believe you received this message in error, please notify the bot's owner. Your questions
[edit]Hello Labs. Regarding your questions, I took a look at the article as it stands. I made some quick "wikification" changes to it in order to fit it closer to -- it still needs some work -- the normal Wikipedia style. I hope you don't mind my changes. The tone, style and structure still need some work. For instance, facts about Bernal's life should be broken out and clearly sourced (see Wikipedia's guidelines for biographies of living people). As it stands, the article reads like an essay, not like an encyclopedic entry. That can be fixed and I'll be glad to help you with it. As for your images. . .I see that you uploaded them, but one thing you have to be very careful with as regards images is copyright. I'm not sure that, though you may have taken the photos, they legally copyrighted for use here; It's just not an area I'm familiar with. They certainly aren't in the public domain in the U.S., that I know for sure. Let me do a little more research on it or ask another editor to comment on it for me and then I'll get back to you. Best if you explain how and where you got the images. Thanks, Into The Fray T/C 21:05, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
- As I already explained at the help desk in response to your last post there, your questions to User:Into The Fray go on his talk page, located at User talk:Into The Fray, and by placing them there, he will get the orange bar across the top of his screen alerting him to the existence of your message, in the same manner as you were alerted to this message from me.--Fuhghettaboutit 06:42, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
- Every user, nay, every page has a discussion tab at the top. If you scroll to the top of the page, you will see several tabs. One will be User page, discussion, edit this page, etc. By clicking on the discussion tab you will see the discussion page where you should be writing your comments. Hope this helps. Thanks. Posting the article
[edit]Hi again Labs. In this case what you want to do is move the article from your sandbox to the mainspace. You do this by going to your sandbox and clicking on the tab marked "move" at the top right of the screen, then type in the field appended with "to new title", the name it should be posted under, which would be José Bernal, then click the button "move page." If you want me to do it for you, just tell me (given your past confusion over talk pages, the best way to contact me is to post to my talk page, which is here.--Fuhghettaboutit 06:40, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
Permission for license of image
[edit]Hi. I've marked File:JOSÉ BERNAL IN 1952.jpg as fair use, because we don't have proof that the author of the image is OK with the license. This isn't being nitpicky, it's just keeping our copyrights straight. As such, we can only use it on English Wikipedia, and at a reduced resolution. Orphaned non-free image File:JOSÉ BERNAL IN 1952.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:JOSÉ BERNAL IN 1952.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 15:20, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The file File:JOSÉ BERNAL, GRANADA, SPAIN, 1974.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Personal image, poor quality, unused, no foreseeable encyclopedic use.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Pkbwcgs (talk) 21:00, 11 August 2021 (UTC)
