To AJCham: Clarification requested
[edit]Hello - can you please clarify your comments about copyrighted information in the article "Women's World Banking"? I'm not sure I understand what is copyrighted and therefore created a problem - I have cited sources for all quotes. Please advise! LaJoconde89 (talk) 16:00, 30 June 2010 (UTC)LaJoconde89
- There were three sections I had identified as problematic, but, on reflection, it seems only the opening sentences are the issue:
- Opening sentence of History and Governance is from http://www.swwb.org/history.
- Focus on Women is from http://www.swwb.org/wwb-network.
- Women and Leadership is from http://www.google.com/url?...13MaA.
- The fact that the opening sentences of each section were copied led me to the incorrect assumption that the remainder of the section was the same. It seems that there is a lot more original content than I had realised. Unfortunately there has been a severe backlog at Articles for Creation, and I was last night trying to help clear it. I must confess that in this time I may not have given all submissions the same standard of scrutiny that I would otherwise. I apologise for this, and any inconvenience caused.
- Nevertheless, the sentences that have been copied should be rectified - rewritten in your own words. Also, please address the concerns I've raised regarding the excessive coverage of Microfinance in general - the article should only be about the company. You could add a "see also" section and link to the existing Microfinance article, and maybe some of what you have written would be suitable for addition to that article. Once you feel the issues are resolved you can reopen the submission to be reviewed again.
- Again, I apologise for not reviewing your submission as carefully as I usually would, and wish you good luck with your article. AJCham 16:50, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
