Warning users
[edit]Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template index/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. 47.227.95.73 (talk) 11:08, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for information! LR0725 (talk) 11:10, 30 May 2023 (UTC)

When you click rollback or whatever, you insert the name of the vandal in the edit summary. Better to revert to a clean version--that means less work for administrators in cases like this. Drmies (talk) 01:58, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
- @Drmies: What does it mean, "name of vandal"? LR0725 (talk) 02:00, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
- What? Your automated edit summary said "reverted edits by NAME" or something like that. So I had to scrub that edit summary too, to remove the name of that LTA, and WP:DENY them that gratification. Drmies (talk) 02:01, 1 June 2023 (UTC)

Rollback granted
[edit]Hi LR0725. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or RedWarn.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 16:00, 7 June 2023 (UTC)
- @HJ Mitchell: Thanks! I will use this properly. LR0725 [ Talk | Contribs ] 16:04, 7 June 2023 (UTC)

- I reverted Special:Diff/1159715873 this edit due to the improper template grammer. I didn't consider about contents. Just edit properly, not to make template be like that. LR0725 [ Talk | Contribs ] 03:35, 12 June 2023 (UTC)

Pending changes reviewer granted
[edit]Hello. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages.

Hello, LR0725,
Just a reminder that after a PROD tag has been removed from an article or file, it can not be replaced. So do not revert edits that have removed a PROD tag. The editor removing the tag doesn't need to provide a good reason for removing the PROD tag or any reason at all. Thank you for your contributions and good luck with your new pending changes reviewer permission. Liz Read! Talk! 19:24, 20 July 2023 (UTC)

Jacopo Peri, lo Zazzerino
[edit]Hi, I saw that you reverted my edit in this article ; as a fluent (though not native) Italian speaker I'm positive that in Italian, article "il" is forbidden before "impure S" (st, sc, sp, sd, sb, sh, sg) and Z, and becomes "lo" in such cases.
It's a phonetical rule, meaning that it relaxes when any word comes between the article & the "impure S" or Z ("lo zazzerino" but "il famoso Zazzerino" = the well-known Zazzerino, zazzerino meaning a long & curly haircut), but applies whatever the grammatical function of the word following the article, as soon as it begins with "impure S" or Z (so "il problema", but "lo strano problema" = the strange problem).
I suggested this edit more than one year ago in the discussion page on Peri - nobody answering, I proceeded. Thus, except if you're positive that this rule did not apply yet in XVIIIth century,I suggest that reverting was not a good idea.
Kind regards Ethyle64 (talk) 06:44, 20 October 2023 (UTC)
