Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Obelisk (disambiguation), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Heavy metal. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Hellfest '05 Banner.png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Hellfest '05 Banner.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Dylsss(talk contribs) 23:03, 30 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Koelsch

[edit]

Hello! I noticed that you recently created the article Michael Koelsch, and a lot of your recent activity seems to have involved adding his name to every single article for a work of art he was professionally involved in. Based on some searches, I'm not convinced Koelsch is notable, and I definitely think there are a number of issues with the article as it currently stands. As such, I've added a number of templates to it. We can discuss further on the article's talk page, but I think it would be a good idea if you went through the article and trimmed it down considerably to meet WP:SUMMARY style - after all, it's not a resume or portfolio. Right now it reads quite promotionally. Ganesha811 (talk) 05:00, 11 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Repressed books

[edit]

Hi, I noticed that in a number of articles, you added that a book or series was "repressed". Please go back through all of those articles and change "repressed" to "republished". I don't know if the publishing industry uses "repress" as technical jargon, but it is not a term that would be commonly understood by general readers to mean "republish" or "reissue". Thanks! Please don't fill Wikipedia with irrelevant stuff.

[edit]

Good morning LOCdata. Thank you for the many hours you are putting in to improve Wikipedia. I notice that you have made about 50 edits like these: 1 2 3 4 etc. One of the principles of editing is that added material must be encyclopedic. In this case please remember that Wikipedia is not a soapbox or means of promotion WP:NOTPROMO and not a directory WP:NOTDIR of everything in the universe that exists or has existed. What we are after is a balanced article, and - elsewhere, a mention of the subject if especially relevant. Have a look at the article here: Quentin Blake and here Uncle and the Treacle Trouble. This is all it needs - a passing mention in other articles where Michael Koelsch has been a major contributor to the work (and that is only if he is notable, and this is at least questionable) - in other articles where he has made a really significant contribution. In general it is also worth a look at Help:Your first article and 5. With regards and all respect. Springnuts (talk) 07:00, 12 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, LOCdataLKR44. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

 • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
 • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the request edit template);
 • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
 • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
 • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. --- Possibly (talk) 21:39, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have a conflict of interest on Michael Koelsch? Do you know him, are you being paid to write on him, or do you have any connection with him in the real world? Some of the material you added to the article, which is massively bloated with puffery, is not mentioned in the sources. --- Possibly (talk) 22:02, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/LOCdataLKR44, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:TheObeliskHeaderLogo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.
