[edit]Hello, LGLou
Thank you for creating History of the Jews in Geneva.
User:Scope creep, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:
You know you could create another couple of cats and fix Judaism by city cats. I will get done eventually but saves a bit of time. Great article by the way.
Thanks =) If you mean using HotCat, I have never done that before. Is that a tool that could sort these articles by city automatically?

- Hi @LGLou: No unfortunately not. They need to be created manually by using a specific type of link. I've forgottten how to do them, its been ages. Ask at the WP:TEAHOUSE. Thanks for getting back to me. scope_creepTalk 19:42, 22 June 2021 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for September 23
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Ditisheim, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Vulcain. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Aargau into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. /wiae /tlk 12:36, 6 February 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you, I'll look into it. Is it possible to change an edit summary in hindsight? LGLou (talk) 12:40, 6 February 2023 (UTC)
- Hi LGLou, it's not possible to change an edit summary after the fact, but you can always use a dummy edit to retroactively indicate something. In the history of the History of antisemitism article you'll see I've provided the attribution. Thanks, /wiae /tlk 12:54, 6 February 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot. I'll go through my edits and see if I can find any missing attributions. Mostly it's been translations, which I usually did indicate. LGLou (talk) 12:56, 6 February 2023 (UTC)

Hi, friend. I notice that you work for the Jewish Museum of Switzerland and that you have uploaded this image of JMS 769-1 to Wikimedia with a description of the item and added the image to Haftara. Thank you for your help.
Unfortunately, I had to revert your edits because JMS has misidentified this item. In the image I can see that the scroll is open to Exodus 36-37, meaning that it is a (far more common) Torah scroll, not a haftara scroll. I don't know whether this image has been inadvertently swapped for another, or whether the item was misidentified upon accession, or what. I hope you can find out and correct both Wikimedia and the JMS catalogue entry, which is similarly incorrect. Until then, please refrain from adding the image to any other pages.
Please let me know if you need any further help. I am a professional Judaics researcher with a reasonable freelance rate. GordonGlottal (talk) 23:59, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks so much for pointing this out, we have had some issues with the online database, I'll make the necessary changes. LGLou (talk) 09:58, 25 April 2023 (UTC)
