Questions about deleted page Alan Curtis (criminologist),
I am trying to determine why this page was deleted. Can you let me know? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.110.18.216 (talk) 14:40, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
How do I go about re-submitting Alan Curtis. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Irolebai (talk • contribs) 03:46, 26 July 2013 (UTC)
- Its unlikely that a new article would be accepted, but see WP:AFC for details. LFaraone 15:05, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
Guillaume Buckley
Hi,
You deleted the page Guillaume Buckley. This page should not have been deleted, simply updated to show that this player is not longer playing professional football with any club at the present.
Could you please re-instate this page.
Thank you, — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jamashmax (talk • contribs) 10:06, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
- The page was deleted as the result of a deletion discussion, see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Guillaume Buckley (2nd nomination). I've deleted the page your recently recreated under a different name. LFaraone 13:04, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
those darn Gibraltar footpaths
Please check out Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Footpaths of Gibraltar. I, as the lone delete advocate now, am a bit peeved that there seems to be a group effort (I'm not saying sockpuppets) to keep the article without really addressing the issues fairly. Kitfoxxe (talk) 19:38, 3 August 2013 (UTC)
Just FYI
Back in July, you deleted Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Carl Ronald Kahn, per OTRS. I'm...not exactly sure what that means, but I thought you'd want to know that there's now Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Carl Ronald Kahn (2). Howicus (talk) 15:28, 5 August 2013 (UTC)
- Sigh. I've undeleted the relevant pages and merged the two submissions. Thanks for letting me know. LFaraone 16:18, 5 August 2013 (UTC)

You can help
What on earth are you playing at with such as biased close of my post on the main talk page? I could produce thousands of DYK which has very little bearing on who chooses articles for the main page at any given time. It isn't a criticism of the articles being produced at DYK, it's a criticism of the decision to post articles on the same country and topic at a given time; wikipedia has a mixed enough bag to ensure it doesn't happen. It's a valid and constructive point, although perhaps bringing up at DYK it would have been more productive. "You can help" is a closure which quite frankly illustrates that you know little about DYK or understand my concerns and it seems you've just simply come along and closed it asap after seeing Jayron's inappropriate comments. ♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:38, 21 August 2013 (UTC)
- I'm sorry you disagree with the closure, but commentary about the contents of DYK should be placed on WT:DYK. I closed it since the discussion didn't seem productive on the main page talk page, and wasn't really going in a productive direction either. Every few weeks, somebody complains about systematic bias in a section on the Main Page. There's some wanking and nothing ever happens. If you want to actually effect change, bring it up on a place where consensus can be reasonably be built, but don't just start the latest round of "$section doesn't seem worldly enough!". LFaraone 17:20, 21 August 2013 (UTC)
- I agree that moaning about the main page won't change anything, and it wasn't your closure that concerns me, it was what you said which simply isn't true. I don't control what is put in the queue and I could produce several thousand articles on the developing world and this would still appen. And when 10 or so articles hit the front page at once and 9 of them are US or popular culture based it really doesn't look good. It isn't a criticism of the editors who produce the articles, it was of whoever put the articles all together at once. DYK should be largely about showcasing the range of work which goes into wikipedia. Perhaps I should have brought it up at DYK instead, but it is on the main page and it's a problem. I didn't like the way you and Jayron came up with the "it's all your fault, you can help" argument which really isn't the case. I can't help fix it all, if I could, I wouldn't be complaining. In fact it was for that very reason I can't do anything about it that I left that comment in frustration that some people don't seem to care about the balance of articles appearing.♦ Dr. Blofeld 18:46, 21 August 2013 (UTC)
Please
Pay more attention. (Is there something wrong with the edit conflict mechanism; this is the second time that comment has been removed by someone.) -- tariqabjotu 15:13, 22 August 2013 (UTC)
- The EC mechanism appears to be sort of wonky today. My apologies for not noticing. Can we get LiquidThreads already? LFaraone 15:16, 22 August 2013 (UTC)
- The EC mechanism does not want those comments in there. Sheesh. LiquidThreads or something... -- tariqabjotu 15:17, 22 August 2013 (UTC)
- My. I suspect its some caching issue... I guess the one thing I can do is donate so the WMF can get more servers / engineers? :) LFaraone 15:20, 22 August 2013 (UTC)

Coppertone title
Is it possible you can move or change the title of this article to Coppertone? The article is called Coppertone girl when the article is about for the Coppertone suntan lotion. The article isn't just about the Coppertone girl advertisement character. It is about the suntan lotion called Coppertone. Yet there is no option to move the article to the more fitting title of just Coppertone in the article. Here is the link:

Why was my page deleted ?
Hello,
I was surprised to find out that my page on "21st century skills" was deleted by you in May. I had received no advance warning and did not know there was any contention about it. Could you please enlighten me ?
