Your username

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "LA Tattoo", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it appears to be the name of a business. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 19:36, 23 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

LA Tattoo - reason for this user name is not to represent a business, rather speaks to my penchant for getting tattooed in the LA area from various well-known artists. I am not a business, rather am passionate about tattoos and their acceptance in society and in the workplace. LA Tattoo (talk) 20:28, 23 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.  You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username doesn't represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. If you prefer to be unblocked for the purpose of changing your username to a username which complies with our username policy, so that your contributions with this username are recorded as contributions of your new username and rather than creating a new account, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice instead. Thank you. (Non-administrator comment) If you want to officially register your protest, you should use the {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} template. For example, if you wanted to use the statement that you previously wrote, you would copy and paste this text onto your talk page: {{unblock|reason=reason for this user name is not to represent a business, rather speaks to my penchant for getting tattooed in the LA area from various well-known artists. I am not a business, rather am passionate about tattoos and their acceptance in society and in the workplace.~~~~}}.
Alternately, there are plenty of potential user names that you could use that would express your interest in getting tattoos in LA without raising the concern of administrators. Andrew327 18:38, 30 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

reason for this user name is not to represent a business, rather speaks to my penchant for getting tattooed in the LA area from various well-known artists. I am not a business, rather am passionate about tattoos and their acceptance in society and in the workplace.LA Tattoo (talk) 10:42 pm, Yesterday (UTC+0)

Accept reason:

Whilst I can see the logic behind the block, your explanation for your username is totally reasonable. Although a company with a very similar name (LA Tattoos) does exist, I think it's fairly clear that you're not affiliated with them. I'm therefore unblocking your account. Congratulations on the Amy Nicoletto article, by the way. Yunshui  10:53, 5 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
