Information icon Hello, I'm Isabelle Belato. I wanted to let you know that one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Latin American Bible Institute, California—has been undone because it appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thank you. The content you added was copied from another website, and thus was a violation of Wikipedia's copyright policy. Please don't add copyright material to Wikipedia. — Diannaa (talk) 00:36, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. — JJMC89(T·C) 00:06, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I did not mean to break the rules. I apologize. It is my first time editing our wiki page and just copied from our website. I should have taken the time to read the rules before doing so. The excitement of finally figuring out how to edit our wiki page after so many years got the best of me. Again I am sorry. I am just an administrator at the college trying to make how we come up in a search real and genuine compared to the very little that shows right now. I am not being compensated nor will I be for editing the page. LABICOLLEGE (talk) 17:17, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You have not proposed a new username as instructed. Accounts are strictly single person use only, and the username must indicate that(your real name is not required, just something unique to you). You have several misunderstandings about this situation. It is not "your wiki page" but a Wikipedia article about your college, and the existence of an article is not for the benefit of the college in any way. There may be benefits, but those are on the side and not our primary goal. If you are an administrator, I assume you are paid for your duties in that position- that makes you a paid editor, you do not have to be specifically paid for edits. Wikipedia has no interest in enhancing search results for your college- our only interest is in summarizing what independent reliable sources state about a topic. Please read about conflict of interest. You won't be unblocked to, in the short term, edit about your organization. If that is your only goal here, this is the end of the road. If you are interested in being a general contributor and editing about topics unrelated to your conflict of interest, please tell what those might be. If you build up a good edit history showing that you understand Wikipedia content guidelines and relevant policies, you may later be permitted to indirectly contribute about your college, but not now. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 18:37, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
