[edit]Hello, Kyokyoyaaaaa and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students.
If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}}
before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.
Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.
Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one please tell your instructor about that. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}}
on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.
We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 05:06, 11 March 2021 (UTC)

- Sandstein, Since the original edit did not provide a source, how did you find out it is a copyvio? Also, that edit is mostly based on quotations, and those are allowed. Aside from the edit needing a reference, and being badly written ("of course", plus some other unclear sentences like "In The New York Times, you can think of nomcore as a new fashion movement or socio-cultural concept, but he said") I am not sure right now that a claim of it being a COPYVIO is correct. All that said, I agree this paragraph should have been removed (due to lack of source and grammar/style issues). Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 04:37, 3 May 2021 (UTC)
- Piotrus, as far as I can tell the text that was added was a machine translation of part of the cited source article. We expect editors to summarize secondary sources in their own words (and in proper English), and use quotations sparingly and marked as such. Sandstein 07:24, 3 May 2021 (UTC)
- Sandstein, Given the grammar/vocabulary errors this is plausible but we can't assume the content is machine translated. I did a machine translation of this article myself and I did not find a matching part. While bad translation (with grammar/vocabulary errors) is certainly fair to be removed, I think we should not accuse people of copyvio unless we have good proof that this is the case. Bad translation is not always a result of a machine translation, and we can confuse new editors when we incorrectly identify their errors. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 08:32, 3 May 2021 (UTC)
- Piotrus, if you open the cited Korean-language article ([1]) in Chrome and let Google automatically translate it to English, the copyvio is readily apparent.
- The auto-translated article reads: "Of course, not everyone recognizes Nomcore as a huge fashion trend. <Vanity Fair> pointed out through a column titled'Is Nomcore worth paying attention to?' “Nomcore is actually just a way of fashion people reminiscent of the 90s, not a concept to hide from the public. Isn't it only meaningful to those who want to express themselves through fashion in the first place?” This is another interpretation of the substance of Nomcore."
- And the text that Kyokyoyaaaaa added is almost identical to that machine translation: "Of course, not everyone recognizes nomcore as a huge fashion trend. Vanity Fair pointed out through a column, entitled 'Is Nomcore worth paying attention to?', that “Nomcore is actually just a way of fashion people reminiscent of the 90s, not a concept to hide from the public. Isn't it only meaningful to those who want to express themselves through fashion in the first place?”. This is another interpretation of the substance of nomcore."
- If you supervise or coordinate the editing of Kyokyoyaaaaa in some capacity, please do so more effectively. Sandstein 13:08, 3 May 2021 (UTC)
- Sandstein, I see, apparently, google page translate does not translate the entire article at once, I needed to scroll down for it to finish the translation. And initially, I missed the edit added the reference, hence my confusion. You are right, this was a copyvio. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:35, 4 May 2021 (UTC)

Hi, Minkyo. What a informative article I think.
[edit]Hi, Minkyo(--Kyokyoyaaaaa).
I read the article written in your sandbox well. The outline and contents of Korean proverbs are well organized. There must have been a limit to interpreting Korean proverbs with various metaphors in English, but you did a great job. And thanks to this, I had a chance to think about the Korean proverbs again and understand it easily.
I also wrote about the 'beauty store' at my sandbox this time. I'd appreciate it if you'd take a look :)
Anyway, I'm not good enough, but I'll tell you some of the feedback you need for your writing. There was a part where I received feedback from the professor when I was doing Wikipedia assignments. That is, references should not be attached to sub-headings. You can find a reference to the sub-heading of 'Folk characteristics' in your article. The reference attached here will need to be transferred to the text(content) itself. Also, I would like to ask you to attach a reference for each paragraph. Lastly, It would also be easier for people to understand if you add images appropriate to the origin or situation of the proverb.
Thank you again for the informative article! Pkccccj 07:47, 6 May 2021 (UTC)
