[edit] Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. - 220 of Borg 00:15, 30 June 2012 (UTC)
Unexplained edit, which I reverted
[edit]Could you explain this edit? [1] Still-24-45-42-125 (talk) 08:11, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
- I gave you the benefit of the doubt, but you're at it again. Cut it out. Our source say 2002. What you're doing is vandalism, just as surely as if you'd changed his birth year. Still-24-45-42-125 (talk) 04:05, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
- Upon further consideration, I think this is best understood as slow edit-warring. Still-24-45-42-125 (talk) 04:21, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. , but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Seraphimblade Talk to me 09:12, 11 August 2012 (UTC)

Request reason:
I would like to repeal being blocked from editing Mitt Romney because I edited the year when Mitt Romney left Bain Capital from 2002 to 1999 and provided two valid sources supporting this statement which were blatantly ignored. Thank you. Kylethegreat098 (talk) 09:45, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Edit-warring after warning about that behavior is forbidden. Your comment here demonstrates that you do not understand the problem with that behavior, therefore the block is doing its job in preventing the forbidden behavior. DMacks (talk) 09:57, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:
I do understand that conflict through editing is prohibited. But I also understand that a war requires at least two people and that it is also wrong to provide false and misleading information, which is the current information under Mitt Romney. Thank you. Decline reason:
You're blocked for edit warring; you need to use the article talk page to gain consensus for disputed changes to the article. --jpgordon::==( o ) 17:56, 11 August 2012 (UTC)

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
