- Hi Dan! David Lashar is an officially nominated candidate on the ballot in the 2022 Gubernatorial election. He was nominated by the Libertarian Party of Maryland on October 18, 2021. (here are the official minutes from the party: https://lpmaryland.org/archives)
- Included in my sources was the State Maryland Board of Elections website listing David Lashar and his running mate Christiana Logansmith as FILED candidates on the ballot in the 2022 Gubernatorial election. Here is the source again for your reference: https://elections.maryland.gov/elections/2022/primary_candidates/gen_cand_lists_2022_1.html
- I will add a few additional news items to the article, but he has been covered by several different local news organizations including Maryland Matters, The Baltimore Banner and has been included in official gubernatorial Townhalls and forums, including:

- Third party candidates don't get elected because they are excluded from media coverage and debates. I am so disappointed that Wikipedia is also acting as a gatekeeper. 2/3 of Americans want a third party, and 80% support term limits, so a policy allowing only currently elected officials to have biographies conflicts with the values of most voters. I hope Wikipedia revisits this policy and allows - even temporarily - all candidates on the ballot to have a biography. I think it would make a big difference.
