test?
my test you reverted? I removed an obvious vandalism, 9/11 was replaced with GEORGE BUSHES DICK when I viewed the artice. Why was a revert of this vandalism removed? I repeated this and replaced 9/11 with September 11, 2001 on that and one other place. How did I do something wrong with this?--195.29.118.175 16:37, 6 December 2006 (UTC) Hm, strange that was what I tried to remove. I succeded on a second try. --195.29.118.175 16:43, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
this [1] was the vandalism I tried to remove, and which I saw on that page. Must have been corrected by the time I clicked on the revision so I clicked on the wrong one. Apologies. --195.29.118.175 16:46, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
User: 205.162.239.134
After noticing vandalism by user 205.162.239.134 to Saint Nicholas, I checked his log, and saw that he is just coming off of a vandalism block. The vandalism was minor, but I thought it would be worth keeping an eye on the account. I am new to Wikipedia, and so don't want to go about this the wornd way, which is why I am bringing it to your attention

- As a Wikipedian, I know the Wikipedia rules and I'm allowed to remove old comments especially old threats and warnings from my talk page. Pooter-the-clown 18:36, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
- And I don't join Wikipedia the first time. Several administrators have allowed me to remove old comments on 'MY' talk page. Just leave my page alone. Thanks. Pooter-the-clown 19:04, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
- This user was blocked for deleting a notice on the administrator noticeboard 2 minutes after it was first posted. It is my hope that the user chooses to begin editing with more care and providing verification, particularly for changing the heights of people and characters in various articles. Also, I strongly recommend that the user spend a bit more time actually learning the rules of wikipedia prior to making more claims and statements such as those above. You know, sometimes I like it round here. a new editor turns up, is given advice from more experienced editors, and follows it. Result? Better-quality articles, happy editor(s). Such a nice change from stuff like this. I'm now in a good mood so will go to the pub before it wears off! Cheers mate Tonywalton | Talk 17:38, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

User Kukini, before being too hasty about wielding your administrator powers in blocking the above IP adress, if only you had cared to check its user talk page (or the contribution history), you would have found out that it is used by a number of different people, not just the one or the ones who caused vandalism. That is because it belongs to a multi-user facility with about 100 or so computers used daily by a large number of people! You are barking at the wrong tree or trees. 192.30.202.19 00:47, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
- Response given on user talk page. - Kukini 01:35, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
Just take a look at the contribution history of this IP number or the IP address above. Look at the different subject matters they deal with, the differences in the edits, edit style etc. You will notice that they are used by a number of different people. These IP addresses are used by a large number of people everyday. Your warnings or blocks may not even be noticed by those responsible for the vandalism!!!!!!!!! Indeed, you are barking against the wrong trees!! Next time please do some simple checking first, instead of just getting carried away!! 192.30.202.19 17:07, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
Sorry, I hadn't noticed that contribution history is shown only for edits under usernames, not under IP addresses.
Also, you said 'response is given on user page'. If you meant that 'welcome' response, you gave it under some wrong assumption. If the tag at the bottom (about as that page being the talk page of an anonymous user) was placed by you, again, your assumption is incorrect. That is not the talk page of any single user as explained above.
You say blocking doesn't matter, as those with a user address can still sign on. Ah, but it does matter. The provision does exist for not using a user name. Those who do not want to use a user name should be able to do so as long as that provision exists. As for vandalism, I don't think blocking a large number of people just because someone resorted to vandalism is the answer. Either persuade those behind Wikipedia to remove that provision or stop harrassing those who utilize the provision. As for those who do the vandalism, they will find one way or another, regardless or your blocking. Isn't that is a chance Wikipedia has taken by having that provision?! 192.30.202.19 21:27, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
I re-read your message on the talk pages of the IP addresses in question. So it was not the blocking that you say doesn't matter, but my statement that the vandals won't be sticking around to read the warnings, that doesn't matter. Sorry for the slight misunderstanding. But I still don't see the point of your placing your message unless you are on a little ego trip. My purpose was to let others like you who may misunderstand that the IP adress belonged to one person know that it wasn't so. You yourself believed so until I actually told you, didn't you? I added the statement that the vandals using shared IP addresses won't be sticking around to see the warnings, which is most likely the case. Assuming your message was aimed at your fellow administrators, they have intelligence of their own, why not let them decide whether it matters or not! 192.30.202.18 16:31, 14 December 2006 (UTC) (Someone who shares this address, but haven't committed any vandalism.)
Kukini, I thought I wouldn't have to waste any more time writing to you. But you removed a message I placed at the talk page of IP address 192.30.202.18 saying it was unsigned attack. What part of my message was the attack? Where I asked you to come of your high horses? Where I asked you to show a little common sense? Now, you are really showing your dictatorial streak coming very close to administrator abuse. 192.30.202.18 16:59, 15 December 2006 (UTC) (The same someone who shares this address, without committing any vandalism.)
- The above from an IP with a record of vandalism. Kukini 02:06, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the welcome to WP. I've been at editing for about a week now, and I wonder if you would mind looking at some of my edits to see if I am on track? Kukini, Can I continue editing the Ellis Paul page? I'm new at Wikipedia although I have a good bit of web site experience. Kmzundel 02:38, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
You said: "I have concern about this user. I am having trouble understanding why his user talk page has been blanked, yet the account was to still remain open? This user had a record of notices of editing concerns that should not be hidden, but instead archived if he is allowed to continue editing under this user name. For the moment, I have re-blocked the user, as the "clean slate" of a user talk page with no archive is problematic, in my view."
- This is a good question. He was blocked most recently by me because he decided to leave the Wikipedia and asked for his account to be blocked. He has concerns about certain private information that he added about himself to the Wikipedia and asked that his account be unblocked to deal with it. I obliged. Given the Right to Vanish, I believe it was appropriate for me to unblock the account and on this basis, you may want to undo your block. Of course, it is obvious that you acted in good faith, just that some of this information was not placed on the Wikipedia for you to view. Please feel free to contact me if you want more information. --Yamla 21:05, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, this user had previously been blocked for deleting notices both on his talk page and otherwise. I believe the right to vanish is just that, a right to vanish. Not to delete history and evidence of wrong doing under a user name. Perhaps this user can open a new account under a completely new user name, and thus have vanished. But under THIS user name, this user has a pretty problematic editing history. Kukini 21:09, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
Kmzundel, comment 1
Kukini, I apologize in advance for any faux pas I may make while trying to familiarize myself with the Wiki environment. I read alot today about how to edit a page and went through parts of the tutorial. I also looked at the history of the Ellis Paul page (the page I hope to continue to work on) and noticed that you added some bullets to my external links. My question is this: do you actually work for Wikipedia? Are there certain people/administrators (I also read through the Wikipedia page) who kinda keep an eye on the work/editing folks like me are doing? I am so confused! I'm also havign difficulty just navigating the talk pages and other pages. The environment (and the mark-up language) is very different...but I hope in time I will feel more comfortable and feel like I'm getting the hang of it all. Kmzundel 23:21, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Kukini, thanks for the words of encouragement. The Talk page is really confusing. I just read through the Talk Help...but am still struggling. Can I reply to a message from you by clicking "edit" in the box of a message from you? Right now I'm writing to you on YOUR user page? I have not blanked any users pages, the only one i blanked is my own. How can that not be acceptable?
archiving
Ok, I archived the information I was blanking before, is that all I have to do or do I need to add more information to the archive page.
Adding a page
Thanks, I have a question about creating a page though, I recently added Sargent to the Assa Abloy page, but when you click on the link it brings you to a list of possible things about what Sargent could be. I work at Sargent and wanted to make a page about it, since its parent company has its own page.
It seems this is the same user or a sock puppet and they also vandalized my page. Just letting you know :-) Nareklm 07:07, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
Hi,
You have put yourself as interested in helping out atWikiProject on user warnings. We are now at a stage where we are creating the new templates and are wondering if you are still interested? If so please visit the overview page and choose a warning type you wish to work on. There is a base template available here, which you can copy and use to get you started. Have a look through the redirects and see what old templates are affected and incorporate them into the the new system. Anyway, any questions please don't hesitate to give me a shout. Hi! I actually have an account. My wireless internet connection on my laptop just keeps logging me out. Sometimes as I am typing stuff, I did not know I was already logged out when I click save, resulting in my user name not being shown. Please note that it is of no ill-intent on my part, or disrespect, just some factors beyond my control. I hope that explains. --24.24.187.104 02:10, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
WP:Point
Kukini, I am leaving you a note about this, because I am new to WP and have had experience with you as an admin. User:Adam Riley appears to be mass nominating churches for AfD to make a WP:Point. I have left comments on a number of the AfD, but don't have time to comment on all of them. It seems to me to be an abuse of the AfD. He has already been called out on nominating a notable article that wasn't even a church, apparently because it had church in the title, nominating some of the most influential churches in American Christianity (here and here), and mass nominating churches. I have left a warning on his user talk page, but there are still all those bad faith nominations. Could you have a look at this. Thanks. Pastordavid 16:57, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

I'm not blanking people's work. I'm trying to keep the general content of the posts without having thepictures and links. Some of the pictures are extremely inappropriate and the links are as well. If this was an adult encyclopedia, then these would be okay, but kids do access this encyclopedia. Gay porn links and pictures are not appropriate. (unsigned comments by User:Fusek71)
