About COI
[edit]If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. Katr67 (talk) 19:44, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
Copyright problem: Eugene Water & Electric Board
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Eugene Water & Electric Board, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to be a copy from http://www.eweb.org/history, and therefore a copyright violation. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators are liable to be blocked from editing.
If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under allowance license, then you should do one of the following:
- If you have permission from the author to release the text under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License (CC-BY-SA), leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Eugene Water & Electric Board and send an email with confirmation of permission to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". - If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License and GNU Free Documentation License, and note that you have done so on Talk:Eugene Water & Electric Board. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for instructions.
It may also be necessary for the text be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and to follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

Sandbox
[edit]Hi, I've moved your version of the article to a sandbox I've created for you:User:Ksproles/EWEB. If you have permission to use the copyrighted material, please read how to obtain clearance above. However we would strongly encourage you to rewrite it, especially as usually the copy from a business' website is too promotional in tone: see What Wikipedia is not, for more on promotion. And also the Business FAQ, as linked in the COI section above. It's also problematic to work on an article in mainspace without using edit summaries and show preview, but in your userspace that's not a problem. Once the article is finished, I can help you move it back to mainspace. Good luck. Katr67 (talk) 20:02, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

File copyright problem with File:EWEBheadquarters.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:EWEBheadquarters.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
