This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Matxin, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://matxin.sourceforge.net. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.)

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Hello. Concerning your contribution, Matxin, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://matxin.sourceforge.net and http://www.springerlink.com/content/q036r7815kq46703/fulltext.pdf. As a copyright violation, Matxin appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. Matxin has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Matxin and send an email with the message to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that it is licensed under the CC-BY-SA license, leave a note at Talk:Matxin with a link to where we can find that note.
  • If you hold the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the CC-BY-SA and GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Matxin.

However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. VernoWhitney (talk) 17:31, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I defined that article in Wikipedia in order to give information on this system of machine translation that was developed in a research project directed by myself (http://ixa.si.ehu.es/Ixa/Produktuak/1273221240, http://ixa.si.ehu.es/Ixa/Produktuak/Patenteak/1020345725/1232534347 ). As the text we defined in http://matxin.sourceforge.net was a nice description in the project, I selected and adapted some pieces of that definition to create a new entry in Wikipedia. As I see, it was deleted. Sorry, I spend some time to do it, but now I think it was wasted time.
Please, could anybody send me the text of the entry that was deleted? If I had time I could try to do it better next time. Ksarasola 16:56, 6 January 2013 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Basque Summer University requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. It is quite frustrating. I spent more than one hour this morning to define this new entry, and just this afternoon it is completely missing. I have nothing for redoing it. I defined that article in Wikipedia in order to give information on this organism (http://www.ueu.org/who-are-we) of which I am an active member. As the text we defined in http://www.ueu.org/who-are-we was a nice start point to describe this organism, I selected, adapted and extended some pieces of that definition to create a new entry in Wikipedia. I did not hide this URL, I added it as a external link. But now the whole definition has been deleted. It is really frustrating. Sorry, I spend some time to do it, but now I think it was wasted time. .

I thought it was quite clear that I am a member of this organization, as it is described in my user description. But now I realized that my user description in Basque (http://eu.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lankide:Ksarasola) is not readable from the English Wikipedia, Sorry it is my fault.

In Basque: * UEUko Informatika Saila
In English: Computer Science section in the Basque Summer University.

Please, could anybody send me the text of the entry i defined this morning and that was deleted? If I had time I could try to do it better next time. Ksarasola Ksarasola (talk) 17:30, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Evelyn Boyd Granville may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • [[Category:Women computer scientists|Granville, Evelyn Boyd]]]
  • [[Category:Women in technology|Granville, Evelyn Boyd]]]

Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 11:31, 25 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of The siege of San Sebastian (1813)

[edit]

The article The siege of San Sebastian (1813) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not every painting is notable enough for its own article. There's nothing to indicate that this one is.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.  ‑ Iridescent 22:12, 26 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article.  ‑ Iridescent 11:13, 3 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for creating Iñaki Goirizelaia, Ksarasola!

Wikipedia editor Hydronium Hydroxide just reviewed your page, and wrote this note for you:

Meets WP:ACADEMIC#6, but other criteria are more questionable -- evidence/details of the impact of his textbooks/work would help. Claims in Iñaki_Goirizelaia#President_of_the_University_of_the_Basque_Country_(2009–2017) need sources.

Hi,Hydronium~Hydroxide. Thanks for your comments. Following your advice I have introduced five new references. I hope these new sources would be useful to prove the truthfulness of the facts presented. Ksarasola (talk) 10:38, 22 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Ksarasola: thanks for the quick response - I've removed the refimprove. A couple of remaining issues to consider:
  • "Faculty of Engineering in Bilb[a]o" is ambiguous. Was this at one of the University of the Basque Country's faculties? (for instance could be at Mondragon University
  • The second paragraph about the new law doesn't detail the result. If there the new law was gotten up, then that's important and needs to be covered. If the proposal went nowhere, then that might belong at the University's article, but is less obvious as needing to be covered at his page.
~Hydronium~Hydroxide~(Talk)~ 11:35, 22 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks again @Hydronium Hydroxide: I introduced some changes to explain it in a better way. Ksarasola (talk) 13:38, 22 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. I see in a recent addition to Joan Mari Torrealdai you included material translated from the Basque Wikipedia. That's okay, but you have to give attribution so that our readers are made aware that you copied the prose rather than wrote it yourself. I've added the attribution for this particular instance. Please make sure that you follow this legal requirement when copying from compatibly-licensed material in the future. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 14:39, 29 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Kaixo Ksarasola! Zer moduz? I have slightly copyedited Joan Mari Torrealdai for English, still I can hardly understand what "in this study" means, what does it refer to? A tag has been placed on Category:Philippine artists indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself. Liz Read! Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Tony D. Pájaro, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tokio. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 05:56, 27 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
