Re: Jeff Bailey
[edit]I thought you'd removed Jeff's entry accidentally while trying to add another one. Since you didn't use an edit summary, I wasn't sure of your intentions. I admit that my edit summary could have been clearer. I've removed Jeff's entry myself. Graham87 00:24, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for your reply. However, there's no need to reply on both talk pages; it's better to reply on just one. I've put my message back to make the conversation easier to follow in the future. Graham87 00:46, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
KLOG A.M. Stereo
[edit]The website www.amstereoradio.com used to list KLOG as an A.M. Stereo station but no longer does. I saw you added it to the A.M. Stereo template so I was wondering if you can confirm KLOG is broadcasting (and not merely announcing that they are) in stereo because if you can I'm going to inform them to add KLOG back to the list. I hope it's true!!!Stereorock (talk) 21:33, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
Yes, I will try to confirm. I assumed they were still stereo. Thanks! Ks03 (talk) 22:44, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks! I appreciate it!Stereorock (talk) 15:44, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- The following site has KLOG listed as stereo (others also), KEVA AM Stereo. I also called the radio station and asked them and they said they still broadcast in stereo. Ks03 (talk) 05:04, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
- I have a couple of people checking. The website www.amstereoradio.com doesn't yet list KLOG. Did the station confirm they were in stereo? If so, I'll tell the www.amstereoradio.com guys. Thanks for the legwork!Stereorock (talk) 18:08, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, they did confirm they broadcast in stereo. I can give you the number if you'd like to doublecheck. Ks03 (talk) 16:21, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
- No need but thank you. I told the A.M. stereo guys so it should show soon on www.amstereoradio.com. Thanks for your help!

Regarding your boarding/alighting tables on Amtrak station articles
[edit]I see you've reverted my edits removing your boarding/alighting tables on Washingtonian Amtrak station articles. They aren't present in other station articles, especially those with GA or FA status, so they don't belong in the articles. I'd like to hear your justification, before we accidentally become engaged in an edit war. SounderBruce 22:47, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for your note. The table is a reflection of what is on all Amtrak station pages, the number of passengers. The difference being it shows a historical view, which would be of interest to the reader who has an interest in passenger rail. You are correct, other station articles do not have this and I do not know the reason. Please respond with why it isn't allowed. Other station pages have galleries, which you had also deleted on the Tukwila page. Only Washington station articles have the train schedules. Are all station pages to be the same? The Amtrak Cascades has the ridership numbers since 1993, but the Coast Starlight doesn't have any historical numbers. I don't feel we should remove it on one page just because another doesn't have it. Will look forward to your response, but feel that the historical information very interesting and wish all pages had it. Ks03 (talk) 23:08, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
- Generally, galleries sections are appropriate if they can illustrate aspects of a subject that cannot be easily or adequately described by text or individual images. The layout of a simple train station would be easy to describe in text, while the interior of an older, more decorated station would not. I'm not sure of the reason tables aren't included in station articles, but tables do look out of place in stubs that already have an infobox. SounderBruce 00:05, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
- Do you have a suggestion to make it fit in a little better? Maybe that type of table isn't the correct format? Let me know if you have any suggestions. The infobox does include one year's worth of data, but doesn't tell the trending story. Ks03 (talk) 20:46, 12 January 2015 (UTC)
Longview, WA Metropolitan Statistical Area in the Portland-Vancouver-Salem, OR-WA Combined Statistical Area?
[edit]I am not the originator of the mention of the Longview, WA Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) in the Portland-Vancouver-Salem, OR-WA Combined Statistical Area (CSA) on the Cowlitz County, Washington wiki page, but it does appear to be correct. According to this document by the United States Census Bureau link it appears that the Longview, WA MSA was added to the Portland-Vancouver-Salem, OR-WA CSA in 2012 after not being a part of it in 2007. Additionally, this map link may help in your understanding that the Longview, WA MSA is part of the CSA. Champ68 (talk) 08:35, 21 June 2015 (UTC)
- Great! Thank you. I hadn't been aware of the change happening and couldn't find anything initially, although it seems like a while ago. It appears it's been added back in, so we're good. Thanks for the information.Ks03 (talk) 21:49, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
Wendhausen Windmill
[edit]Nice article, but it really needs a section giving the technical description of the machinery. Do you know enough about windmills to do this? Mjroots (talk) 06:41, 13 July 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks! Do you have an example wikipedia windmill article that I can view to get an idea of what information would be beneficial? I'm no expert on windmills to say the least, but will do my best. Ks03 (talk) 15:02, 13 July 2015 (UTC)
- Take a look at Stembridge Mill, High Ham#Description. Mjroots (talk) 15:26, 13 July 2015 (UTC)
- Re the comments at DYK and on Facebook. At least I've a better idea of our strengths and weaknesses now. You're probably de-1 or de-2 (against my de-½), whereas I'm windmill-5 against your windmill-1. Reading the comments, it would appear that Wendhausen is the only working five-sailer in Germany. I think that the original hook has merit, and should be modified slightly then reposted as ALT2. Mjroots (talk) 06:10, 15 July 2015 (UTC)
- You are probably right, maybe a de-1 would be more accurate. My windmill knowledge probably is less than one. I would think my effort would be a 5. :) I've updated the article to reflect a few of the valid concerns from the Facebook comments. I don't pretend to be an expert by any means, so anyone with more knowledge about the windmill I would encourage to contribute. As for the Facebook page, it's actually piqued my interest in windmills a little bit more. Quite fascinating. Ks03 (talk) 04:34, 16 July 2015 (UTC)

- I've updated the hook. I believe it does sound better and should convey the same message. You are correct, I did write it incorrectly.Ks03 (talk) 22:15, 17 July 2015 (UTC)
- Please see new note on DYK nomination template. Yoninah (talk) 21:07, 21 July 2015 (UTC)
DYK for Holy Cross Church, Lehre
[edit]On 20 July 2015, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Holy Cross Church, Lehre, which you recently created or substantially expanded. The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Holy Cross Church, Lehre. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. |

August Hermann
[edit]I presume you mean this edit, where I removed unreferenced information? You have your answer there. GiantSnowman 08:04, 26 July 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for the response. Instead of mass deletions, a simple citation needed tag can raise the need for references in a more professional way. Ks03 (talk) 17:51, 27 July 2015 (UTC)
