Welcome!

Hi, I moved Utilisateur:Kropotkine 113/Articles to User:Kropotkine 113/Articles. Since this is the English Wikipedia, we use the English word for User to start user sub-pages. Just wanted to let you know. J.delanoygabsadds 18:54, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
- You don't have to be ashamed. It is a very easy mistake to make. I started a userpage on es.wikipedia, and I at first wondered why it said "Usario:J.delanoy" instead of "User:J.delanoy"... *bangs head on desk* J.delanoygabsadds 19:06, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
- No, you are definitely not alone. Everyone makes mistakes, and accidentally creating a user sub-page in the mainspace is not really a big deal, nor is it hard to fix. To make truly awesome mistakes, you usually have to be an admin (and I am not one). Take a look at our Wall of Shame if you want to see the really big mistakes... J.delanoygabsadds 19:17, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
- Ha, well, I didn't pay attention to that when I looked at your userpage on fr.wp. On en.wp, we most often use Image:Admin_mop.PNG to pictorially represent admins. Also, my oversight of your adminship on fr.wp most likely was not helped by the fact that I don't read a word of French (except au revoir, bonjour, garçon, and Parlez vous françias?). Anyways, in light of that fact, I guess my tone in the preceding comments was kind of condescending, so I offer you my apologies. J.delanoygabsadds 19:56, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Interwiki vandalism issue
[edit]Hi, you will probably be interested by 195.221.155.2 (talk · contribs), who appears to share far-right views, engage in vandalism, and has a troubling editing pattern, related to Vincent Rousseau (see recent edits by Rousseau Bataille de Verdun - change of numbers, Pétain - adds of fascist books - not reverted yet), etc. Utilisateur:195.221.155.2 was blocked. See User talk:195.221.155.2

Your HighBeam account is ready!
[edit]Good news! You now have access to 80 million articles in 6500 publications through HighBeam Research. Here's what you need to know:
- Your account activation code has been emailed to your Wikipedia email address.
- Only 407 of 444 codes were successfully delivered; most failed because email was simply not set up (You can set it in Special:Preferences).
- If you did not receive a code but were on the approved list, add your name to this section and we'll try again.
- The 1-year, free period begins when you enter the code.
- To activate your account: 1) Go to http://www.highbeam.com/prof1; 2) You’ll see the first page of a two-page registration. 3) Put in an email address and set up a password. (Use a different email address if you signed up for a free trial previously); 4) Click “Continue” to reach the second page of registration; 5) Input your basic information; 6) Input the activation code; 7) Click “Finish”. Note that the activation codes are one-time use only and are case-sensitive.
- If you need assistance, email "help at highbeam dot com", and include "HighBeam/Wikipedia" in the subject line. Or go to WP:HighBeam/Support, or ask User:Ocaasi. Please, per HighBeam's request, do not call the toll-free number for assistance with registration.
- A quick reminder about using the account: 1) try it out; 2) provide original citation information, in addition to linking to a HighBeam article; 3) avoid bare links to non-free HighBeam pages; 4) note "(subscription required)" in the citation, where appropriate
- HighBeam would love to hear feedback at WP:HighBeam/Experiences
- Show off your HighBeam access by placing {{User:Ocaasi/highbeam_userbox}} on your userpage
- When the 1-year period is up, check applications page to see if renewal is possible. We hope it will be.
Thanks for helping make Wikipedia better. Enjoy your research! Cheers, Ocaasi t | c 20:48, 13 April 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Kropotkine 113, I specifically applied the keep local tag when I uploaded this image using the file upload wizard. I do not want this file on Commons. I only want it to be used on the English Wikipedia. Also, OTRS volunteers haven't verify the file yet. versace1608 (talk) 18:06, 13 February 2014 (UTC)
- Hi. I didn't see the "keep local tag" and I don't know what it is. I just saw a file under CC-BY-SA 1.0 eligible to Wikimedia Commons and I moved it. OTRS volunteer can verify the license validity the file being either on en.wikipedia or on wikiemdia commons. I'm not aware of any difficulty about this. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
