Coat of arms

[edit]

Sorry for not getting back to you earlier Krokodyl, I just noticed your comment on the COA. Details of Coats of Arms can be found on their respective sites (eg: Coat of arms of Hungary). A picture of a Coat of Arms in a Diplomatic Missions By Country article (as you suggest, being a plaque on a building) is not going to add or complement any information about that country's diplomatic network. A building, rather than a plaque, is more informative about how a country represents itself in the context of the purpose of these articles. Kransky 12:56, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE:Embassies

Hi again,
You think I'm not right in this case? Everything plain for me. The rules are binding for all users or nobody. User Kransky is better than others? Whay I removed my pics? Because he(user Kransky)imitates that not understand essences of problems and his british-colonial attitude of mind shocks me!!! Isee1 18:21, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is Turkey in Europe?

[edit]

You are a European (I'm not). Should Turkey be listed as Europe or Middle East in the Diplomatic Missions by Country articles? A user (or users) on a Turkish IP address are changing all the articles to reflect that Turkey is European. Please provide your reasons in Category_talk:Diplomatic_missions_by_country and Talk:Diplomatic_missions_of_Denmark) Kransky (talk) 11:20, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Our crazy Turkish friend now has a name (User:Izmir lee) and has started to rewrite the articles. I have asked him to discuss this first at Category_talk:Diplomatic_missions_by_country, but he has commenced nonetheless. Please provide your opinion on the discussion page. Thanks Kransky (talk) 08:34, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This debate has reared its head again on the same board, with Eae1983 wanting Turkey categorised as Europe. Please provide your feedback. Put Turkey in with Asia (presumably with Iran and all other Central Asian states)? Kransky (talk) 16:38, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed Removal of all non de jure diplomatic Missions in List Articles

[edit]

I would like to seek your view as to whether we should eliminate from the lists of diplomatic missions by sending/receiving countries all references to representative offices of sending states that do not have formal diplomatic missions with the host states. This would affect a large number of articles which relate to Taiwan, Palestine, Kosovo and other states. Please provide your views here. You have received this notice because you have regularly contributed to either kind of article, or have had dealings with editors concerning the conduct of this dispute. Thank you. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Zuzana Čížková, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Hořice (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
