Informative post

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in and edits about COVID-19. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Information icon Please do not attack other editors, as you did at Talk:Investigations_into_the_origin_of_COVID-19. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. This is a personal attack: "Do I have to go over every one of your sources like this?" Please strike it so we may move on. I would urge you to please WP:AGF and read WP:USTHEM. I would remind you this is not the first time you've been warned against making personal attacks and for being adversarial. Shibbolethink ( ) 18:50, 3 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello.

@Shibbolethink: I'm sorry if my words upset you. If it makes you feel better for the intrest of WP:CIV I will strike as needed and edit for clarity. That said, I think you are really reaching here. You weren't even the subject of the sentence (as per WP:AVOIDYOU). I merely referred to "your edits". We certainly agree one one thing, Wikipedia:Staying cool when the editing gets hot rules the day.
Speaking of WP:AVOIDYOU, maybe I can remind you of the comments you made here:[[1]]
We are working together to build an encyclopedia, and you are not my employer, you don't even pass the 30/500 rule. You are a relatively new editor here who is very convinced they know better than quite a few editors with more experience. I would remind you, humility is a virtue in wiki.
Since we're here on my talk page giving each other unsolicited advice... If you're ever in an interpersonal situation where things might get tense with someone you don't know, it's typically a good idea to not give them personal advice, especially when some dispassionate observer has already given any advice that was needed. When one is out in the world among the commoners one might not encounter the same deference as one would receive from a lowly lab assistant in the tea room. Take care.KristinaLu (talk) 21:13, 3 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Reactivation of Richard Wagner WikiProject

[edit]

Hi. I recently reactivated WP:WikiProject Richard Wagner and noticed that you have previously been a contributor. Would you like your name to move back into the Active Partipants? Chrisdevelop (talk) 00:41, 19 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
