Copyright problem on Jonathan Van Ness

Plot descriptions cannot be copied from other sources, including official sources, unless these can be verified to be public domain or licensed compatibly with Wikipedia. • Thank you Diannaa! Krislakatos, plot descriptions are a good example of how Wikipedia can differ from other places. While these can be fine to use elsewhere, Wikipedia's copyright policy doesn't allow for them to be used on here. This is due in part to the Creative Commons license that Wikipedia uses - long story short, Wikipedia's CC license allows commercial re-use by anyone, whereas the copyright license for the plot descriptions doesn't.

Something else to mention is that it's common for plot descriptions to be written in a promotional tone, as the goal is to get the audience excited to view the episode and drive up viewership numbers. In most cases content like this would need to be re-written anyway, even if the descriptions were released under a compatible license. I hope this description helps! • On a side note, with in general shows it can be fairly difficult to establish independent notability, even when associated with a well known person or company. I think that it was just a little too soon for this to have an article, as there just aren't enough independent, reliable sources out there. It can actually take many years for a show to become notable, but especially podcasts since they are often overlooked. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 14:42, 16 April 2018 (UTC)
