Sinus thrombosis

[edit]

I noticed that you left your email address on cerebral venous sinus thrombosis. We don't normally leave contact information in articles, much like you wouldn't find them in traditional encyclopedias.

You also said "if you need to know more" - is there anything that the article presently doesn't cover that you think ought to be included? Please let me know. JFW | T@lk 06:34, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry to hear you've had such a rough time, and I hope it is not interfering too much with looking after the little one.
I am personally not an expert on cerebral venous thrombosis, and I am quite loathe to dispense medical advice on the internet. However, I am aware of cases where headaches have become chronic and troublesome, and are not necessarily associated with a raised intracranial pressure. Indeed, if the ICP remains raised then further treatment is indicated as it would interfere with vision; the simple way to find out would be fundoscopy (to look for venous pulsations and papilloedema), or ultimately a lumbar puncture to measure the opening pressure. But I am speaking in general terms and am not commenting on your case in particular.
You said you've done a lot of research on CVST. Are there any discrepancies between the Wikipedia page and your sources; I am always looking for opportunities to improve on our present article. JFW | T@lk 09:02, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Multiple sclerosis

[edit]

With puzzlement I note your addition to multiple sclerosis that you were diagnosed with spinal cord demyelination. As I said above, Wikipedia is a general purpose encyclopedia and is not a forum to discuss personal disease histories. Please drop me a message if this is at all unclear.
