Rods, astrology and a potential future judgeship

[edit]
I don't want to seem like I'm butting in, but, if you're serious about the following, you might want to reconsider: "Opened up a talk page on the article. I think the best thing to do would be to leave the opening paragraph with standard references from Greek mythology, and some more details on its traditional mythological roots, since that's the context in which most people are likely to know about it/approach it (rather than the astrology context), then have a big section to educate readers on its astrological importance and the derivation that you tell me of here. Not sure what the problem is. I know it's a messy run-on sentence, but it is in a talk page. KrazyCaley 19:41, 19 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I don't get worried about grammar on a talk page, only on article pages -- besides, sometimes run-ons work because they lend a sense of interest or immediacy to what you're saying.  :)
But, you were correct, I do have a deeper concern: from what I've seen, Theo seems to think that astrology has played a major role in everything from the development of Algebra to the creation of the Internet. Additionally, his claims tend to be very POV and very poorly sourced. Admittedly, this is simply my opinion, but I would urge caution when dealing with Theo. Take care, Jim62sch 19:55, 19 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Understood. I know of his pro-astrology POV, but the information he has to offer in this arena seems pretty legitimate. I will indeed take care, though. Thanks for the concern. KrazyCaley 19:59, 19 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just to let you know, regarding my RfC...

[edit]
Randomly ran across this dispute and was completely amazed at the sheer amount of time that all concerned parties continue to expend in its pursuit. It's been a week since the last comment here, hopefully that means that everyone has just decided to drop it and ignore their respective antagonist(s)

The reason my commenting on that page stopped was because Phroziac had me blocked. It is her method of silencing criticism from those who have less wiki-power than her. r b-j 21:55, 19 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm. Well, there goes that hope. KrazyCaley 22:08, 19 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Phroziac did not have you blocked. Please do not lie. You were blocked for your repeated violations of WP:NPA against myself and others. —Locke Coletc 23:04, 20 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Just thought I'd offer my $0.02, guys. I don't want a greater share of this dispute. KrazyCaley 23:19, 20 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, I just wanted to clear up any confusion..and I'm not interested in arguing either. :) I told Sean Black what was going on, and asked him to consider a block. I didn't want to do it myself because I'm involved. He agreed and did it, using his own judgement. I didn't use any special power, if I did what Rbj did, and he told an admin, i would have been blocked too. :) --Phroziac . o º O (♥♥♥♥ chocolate!) 23:28, 20 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
...And I see you're a new user, KrazyCaley. Welcome! --Phroziac . o º O (♥♥♥♥ chocolate!) 23:29, 20 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Theron Pummer

[edit]

hi - if you think the Theron Pummer articles worth saving, you can argue the point at its afd page and provide some evidence or reasons why it can be kept, but i dont think that it would pass the notability tests at WP:BIO. my nomination is just one vote, and lots of other people are likely to talk about it before it gets deleted or kept. [edit]
