Tom Stone - not good enough magician for encylopaedia
[edit]Please see I have written to complain about Tom Stone. Jan Antwerpmagic 03:02, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
Magicians
[edit]I see you removed a bunch of magicians from the list a year ago and I'm sure a lot of those are a good call, but I think removing people from the list requires some detailed research. For example, Hans Klok is in no way a dubious listing. There's about 4 very well known Dutch magic acts and he's one of them, and he's been a world champion in magic too if I remember correctly (at least he won a notable magic award). Remember that the point of lists is that redlinks can be included.
- Hey, don't condescend about redlinks to me. I made this edit and this edit last year. All those names seem to have since been removed for some reason.
- In the past, I have indeed tried to maintain that list against what I felt were dubious entries. I am happy to get input from others about my decisions. Please forgive me for being only human and making errors at times.
Do you know why names are written "surname, first name" on this list? - Mgm|(talk) 13:20, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
- I have no idea. I haven't been watching that page for almost 9 months now. I don't edit much around here anymore. -- Krash (Talk) 14:46, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
CHICOTW
[edit]I see your user name listed as a member of the Wikipedia:WikiProject_Chicago. I do not know if you are aware that we are attempting to revive the CHICOTW. See our results history. We could use additional input in nominating future articles, voting on nominees and editing winning nominees. Should you contribute you will receive weekly notices like the following:

Re-booting Magic WikiProject
[edit]I'm contacting you because you are listed as a participant at the Magic WikiProject. There is a draft for a new version of the main project page up for discussion and I would welcome your comments or suggestions. I wrote the draft because I was encouraged to try to do something to breathe some life back into the project and also to address some long standing problems that seem to dog it. The draft is posted at Wikipedia:WikiProject Magic/draft magic project page. Since starting to edit at Wikipedia in February I've contributed 25 new articles to the Magic project and added material to many more. I would really like to see this thing get going again but I need at least a few people to give some sign of encouragement if I am to continue. Image copyright problem with Image:Lydia kavina theremin.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:Lydia kavina theremin.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Alex Spade 19:44, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
Who Cares?
[edit]it takes a real gift for hyper-inflation of one's sense of self-importance to decide for everyone, without consensus, what is or is not important. perhaps you'd be more comfortable sticking to a blog or some such, where complete control is implicitly yours, and there aren't the annoyance of other editors who - shriek! - have opinions that differ from your own. have a scrumptious day. - Stick to the actual details of this rather than trying to insult me with your stupid college words and arrogant hall-monitor attitude. I'm not indiscriminately deleting trivia sections at random. We're dealing with uncited, irrelevant tripe that's obviously creating a problem otherwise it wouldn't be tagged as such for months on end with absolutely nothing done about it. The time to act is now. There doesn't need to be an extended discussion of turds to be polished when it's all just a load of bullshit. -- Krash (Talk) 03:15, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Krash! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 411 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
- Jeff Sheridan - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Proposed deletion of Needle-through-arm
[edit]The article Needle-through-arm has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No sources for more than 5 years.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Ahecht (TALK

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
