Welcome, KrJDub05!

[edit]

Hello KrJDub05, welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like it here and stick around. If you want, you can drop us a note at Wikipedia:New user log to introduce yourself.

Before you start doing a lot of editing, you might want to take the Tutorial. It gives a lot of basic info you'll want to get you oriented on Wikipedia.

Here're some handy links:

Remember to sign your name on talk pages by typing " ~~~ " for your username and " ~~~~ " for your username and a timestamp (which is mostly preferred).

Feel free to drop me a question on my talk page. I'll answer if I'm here.

Userpages, articles, jokes...

[edit]

I've reverted your userpage to the last version by you (as I generally believe that people shouldn't edit other peoples userpages except to fix technical/spelling mistakes or with explicit permission), however I notice that you did similar edits to User:Uncantabrigian. Generally speaking I'd see such edits as vandalism and treat them as such, however in this case it appears you two know each other- so if you want to mess around with each others userpages and you both don't mind I'm not going to stop you. However if you do mind please make this clear.

More seriously is edits to articles. Please make sure that all edits to articles strictly follow WP:NPOV, and are verifiable. I'll now be paying a visit to Uncantabrigian to say the same sort of thing. Thank you. Petros471 18:32, 7 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your reply. It was pretty obvious neither of you were one of the usual vandal type; though Uncantabrigian did actually edit an article, and I (gently) told him off for that. I realised you hadn't vandalised any articles; the bit above about NPOV was just some things that all editors need to keep in mind. I'm sure you will make some great contributions to Wikipedia :) Feel free to drop by my talk page if you have any questions, or need assistance with something. Hello, KrJDub05. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:City of Manchester Coat of Arms.jpg) was found at the following location: User:KrJDub05. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 21:39, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
