Hi and sorry
Hey, just wanted to say that I for my part harbor no bad feelings. I am still sorry for a lot of the stuff that went on at the forum - I was frustrated and that's really not a good excuse...
Anyway, I wanted to let you know that you and discussion on these matters is welcome (as far as I am concerned) and that my way of discussing matters is different here. I hope you can tell yourself, of course, but I know how hard it can be to let go of past expectations (such as all people arguing the other side of the K&B / FH divide must be as irritating and condescending as Zeus). So if I seem to harsh, it might just be a slip-up or ambiguity; I will ask you to read my posts with this in mind...
Again, welcome to wikipedia. Lundse 09:38, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
- No problem, I welcome the debate and you have contributed quite a lot. I understand your predispositions, Zeus was a bit off, and I can say that I have had them as well. Hopefully we can look past these and create a neutral and informative article. Konman72 09:49, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
- Great. Now, my wiki-stress-o'meter is a bit high these days and I may very well be on a sort of break. I don't know right now... So if I come back in a few months and start making a fuss, it is not to disrupt editing but to start doing it myself in earnest. See you around, Lundse 09:54, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
Hi
I'm not offended at all. :)

Talk page clean-up
Heya. How about we start cleaning up some of the talk pages, per the WP guideline "The purpose of a talk page is to help to improve the contents of the article in question."
I'm thinking if there is no new discussion on the Discrepancies page, we should archive the current talk (maybe keeping part of the explanation of why it was created?).
What say you?
SandChigger 12:35, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
- Sounds good to me. I might not be able to help out too much cause I'm visiting someone for July 4th and am going to have sparse internet access.
No hurry. Just something to put on the agenda!

Discrepancies talk archive
Thanks for doing that. I've wanted to for some time, but was afraid it might result in "thunder and lightning". :)

Battle of P3Y-229
Great article! I'm impressed, I made a slight correction to the P3Y-229 info though. Faris b 09:58, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

Stop changing the image, the image you uploaded has no source or info, the url you posted does not work. So it cant be used. Matthew Fenton (contribs) 10:45, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
- The url does not work the image has no author and thus fails fair use, if you revert the edits it will be considerd vandalism and an act of war. Matthew Fenton (contribs) 10:51, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
- The whole point of my image was to illustrate the battle, however i have just replaced yours with one practicly alike, however taken by me and now has source and author so qualifies as fu. Matthew Fenton (contribs) 11:08, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
- You dont need to mark yours for deletion as it was just changed:

My forum
Hey bro...you seemed pretty knowledgable about the StarGate film, and since you recognized the fact that the film and the show are seperate entities (MAJOR points to you, brother), it would be cool if you could join my forum I just made. I only have a few members thus far, and I would be honored if you could join. The primary reason for this site's existance is to gather all fans of the StarGate film into one place, in order to form a cohesive fan group dedicated to the film and the film alone, who recognize the "seperate entity" thing. I have other topics on there, though; in your profile you mentioned you were a BSG fan, and I have a forum for that, too. The link to my site is here:
http://z14.invisionfree.com/The_Originals/index.php
- No problem. Sorry you couldn't join, but yeah, I see you might not really fit in well. :D--Promus Kaa 05:17, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
V for Vendetta
Konman72, I completely agree with you regarding 75% being positive, not mixed. Now I've noticed the little edit war on this subject. You should write about this issue on the article's talk page, because if this continues, you can say that you elaborated your view. That way you have the right to continue to revert the "mixed reviews" changes and not look like you're arguing over POV. And if the anons don't reply and continue to push their view, it's vandalism.
People will back you up if you follow procedure. Bottom line, you should make your point on the talk page, not in edit summaries, 'cause most people will not read them. I found that out the hard way.
Anyway, keep up the good work. -- xompanthy 15:14, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
Other
Not quite sure how to use this talk thing, sorry if this is in the wrong place. In response to your message to me: I was unaware that anyone actually cared about the aesthetics of the information. Being "too bloated" surely should not matter. Tell me, how is that final review "mixed" at all? 213.42.21.80 21:07, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
AfD: Buffyverse studies
Hiya, I noticed you voted to delete Buffyverse studies, well I spent a bit of time trying to improve the article, and would massively appreciate it if you had a read over the newly edited article, and comments in the deletion forum and considered if you wanted to stick with your delete vote. I think that the new version is far more encyclopedic. -- Paxomen 13:13, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
- On deletion: IMO the deletion forum works best when it's treated as a discussion searching for a broad consensus about how to keep an article by overcoming anything official it might be breaking (in the 'Deletion policy' or 'WP:Not'), rather than being treated like a battle between those who like the topic and those who don't. But then I'd admit to being an Inclusionist :) Thanks for taking the time to take a look and vote. -- Paxomen 23:07, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
Is it actually Alpha Xi Omega where you are? (And is that Saint Leo's?) I was having a deja vu moment as I was reading this article, going "Waitasec, I remember the Alpha Xis..." but after looking them up, that was Alpha Xi Delta. —C.Fred (talk) 03:12, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks
Thanks for the revert of the Bahrain Centre for Human Rights page. It seems to be the subject of a revert war. How do these things end? Is it when the other guy does enough reverts that other users give up trying to patrol the page?
Arthur Lee Forever 10:16, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
Cheers for the message. It looks like the edit on the page will be a case of last man standing wins with revert over revert.

Ohh, yeah. I've got so many of the admin's user pages watchlisted for that, heh. Usually just means you're doing a good job, so keep it up! :) Luna Santin 09:41, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
Westbourne Grammar School
The alterations to the Westbourne Grammar School Homepage were genuine alterations by former students which included external references that supported what was said. Wikipedia should not be used as a free source of advertising without presenting the full, unedited picture to the public. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.28.63.103 (talk • contribs)
- No they weren't. And none contained external references, except in addition to the vandalism. Konman72 11:20, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Please refer to:
A significant chemical leak occurred on the 13th of June 2006 in the science block where 15 litres of a hazardous liquid ate through a steel container. 35 Firefighters and 9 Hazchem vehicles attended the scene. [2].
The name changes to the heads of houses were incorrect, however content regarding the subjects offered, the 'international centre' and the former gunman were real. The gunman dates back several years and no article was found, however the name provided was correct to the best of our knowledge. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.28.63.103 (talk • contribs)
- I saw that upon further review and am sorry that it got deleted, but when the same edit contains obvious vandalism it usually gets reverted. I saw vandalism so I hit the revert button. Feel free to go into the history and copy paste the legitimate information back in, but refrain from adding jokes or vandalism (this includes teachers and staff nicknames since those are unencyclopedic). Konman72 11:30, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the vote!
Here's a little appreciation for helping to keep the gaymer article alive (at least for the moment!). I'm glad I have your support on this issue, and hope the page continues to grow with the help of other fine wikipedians.
- (To add to what I already said on your talk page) - Thank you very much, I'm glad I could help. I added it to my user page. Konman72 07:59, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

Deleting pages
I am wondering, is this the correct way to delete pages?
I proposed that Ori friar be deleted because it's obviously something someone heard wrong and is basically the same as Prior (Stargate). I proposed it be merged over 2 weeks ago and nothing happened so I marked it for deletion, does it really take that long for anything to happen or did I list it wrong before?
Faris b 20:33, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the info.
Faris b 01:17, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
Do you have an idea of how long it takes for a page to get deleted or how many votes it takes for it to actually happen? I would just like to know how long I should expect to wait for that page to be deleted.
Thanks,
Faris b 23:33, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
Thanks again for the info, I marked it for a speedy delete and someone reveretd to to regular delete, why would that be? He/she said it didn't qualify for it, I sent him/her a message and reverted it. What is going on?
Thanks,
Faris b 07:55, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
How can I ever thank you enough? Thanks though. How do you know how to do all that stuff? I checked and we've been on wiki about the same amount of time, whenever I need to do something, I have to go look at the howtos.
Faris b 09:03, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
Logouts?
For some reason, on whatever computer I use at home, I am periodically logged out of wiki for no apparent reason, I keep the "remember me" option checked and I'm not deleting cookies so what would be causing it? Or does it just happen? Has it ever happened to you?
Faris b 09:27, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

Mind helping me keep an eye on Kevin's page? This is one case where it galls me to do the right thing. SandChigger 17:57, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

Oh, because that whole Kevin Anderson thing said something about assuming good faith, and i thought that the person was talking to you...never mind. I get it now. Ignore me being stupid.
