License tagging for Image:HD DVD Night Digg Frontpage Screenshot before rose blog post encyclopedic.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:HD DVD Night Digg Frontpage Screenshot before rose blog post encyclopedic.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 05:08, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
Re: HD-DVD Speedy Deletes
[edit]I have been aware that you are about to violate the 3RR with regards to the AACS_encryption_key_controversy page, while lacking any consensus for your actions. Moreover, you have cited no policies in support of your repeated efforts to delete the image on that page in question. Either support your actions with a cited policy (other admins have confirmed that it violates no official policy), or seek consensus for your actions through a request for arbitration. Konekoniku 05:00, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
- I intend to keep deleting the key where I find it until you can get me a legal opinion I can rely on that says it's not illegal to traffic in the key. Please read this before commenting further. --bainer (talk) 13:14, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

AACS Arbitration
[edit]I have initiated an arbitration request due to User:Thebainer's unilateral decision making and full-protection of AACS encryption key controversy. I am notifying you as you are one of the parties involved. You can find the arbitration request here - Wikipedia:Requests_for_arbitration#AACS_encryption_key_controversy. --Rodzilla (talk) 20:24, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
don't edit the page again
[edit]don't revert again or your going to break 3RR. MrMacMan Talk 07:37, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
- I'd rather not get into an edit war but i was going to do it if you asked me to do it or not. Ned needs to bring his views to talk page like we have been doing previously. MrMacMan Talk 07:41, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you for the warning, I'll refrain from further reverts for the required period of time. Konekoniku 07:43, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
3RR
[edit]You're well past the WP:3RR for reinstating the image. Do stop. -- Ned Scott 07:37, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you for the warning, I'll refrain from further reverts for the required period of time. Konekoniku 07:43, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image (Image:Digg controversy.png)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Digg controversy.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:57, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
numbering
[edit]I think that only fully recognized countries should be numbered. It's a compromise - Taiwan is mentioned between other countries and not in "other entities" but is not numbered. --Avala (talk) 23:45, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
