Thank you KJP1! It is a moment of great pride for me, and I’m very grateful for your role in it. Kohlrabi Pickle (talk) 08:16, 6 February 2021 (UTC)
Thank you today for Robert Goff, Baron Goff of Chieveley, "about the Lord Goff of Chieveley. He was Senior Law Lord of the United Kingdom's House of Lords for a few years, and is best known for establishing restitution and unjust enrichment in English law. To this end, he co-authored the authoritative textbook (Goff & Jones) on the area, and developed the common law as a judge."! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:54, 6 February 2021 (UTC)

Precious

noble Lord lawyers

Thank you for quality articles such as Robert Goff, Baron Goff of Chieveley, David Feldman (lawyer) and Sharada Peeth, for adding improved photographs, for a spectacularly clean user page, for "I'm happiest adding knowledge in areas that I find interesting", - you are an awesome Wikipedian!

You are recipient no. 2529 of Precious, a prize of QAI. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:27, 6 February 2021 (UTC)

What a nice surprise, thank you so much Gerda Arendt! I'm very grateful. Kohlrabi Pickle (talk) 11:06, 7 February 2021 (UTC)

Hi

Hi there, apologies if this is the wrong place but I'd really love a second review of my draft that you previously carried out please? Since Brexit Ireland's future have been in the news a lot and it's been snowballing. Would be a shame now to have a wiki for them. Thank you https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft_talk:Ireland%27s_Future Tvdoormat (talk) 18:46, 7 February 2021 (UTC)

Hello Tvdoormat. I'm on a break from AfC reviews at the moment, but if you are an auto-confirmed user (i.e. if your account is more than 4 days old and you have made more than 10 edits), then you can create the article yourself without putting it through the review process. AfC is only meant to weed out articles that clearly have no place on Wikipedia. If you are confident that Ireland's Future is indeed notable, then go ahead. (The corollary being that you must be prepared to defend this position if another editor nominates the article for deletion.) Also, if you do, be sure to delete the draft submission at AfC as the duplicate will annoy a reviewer. Finally, I would suggest looking at this too: WP:THREE. All the best - if I get some free time, I'll try to stop by your draft. Kohlrabi Pickle (talk) 00:48, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
Really really appreciate that advice my friend. Ireland’s Future is now live. If you do get a chance to give my little page a review it would be good if you could help it from getting deleted. That's my fear now. So proud of what I've done and my first ever page. Thanks again Tvdoormat (talk) 08:16, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
Congratulations on your first article, Tvdoormat, and well done! I've had a quick look, and I think it'll need some re-writing because it's written as a chronology of events, which comes across as promotional and inappropriate for an encyclopedia article. I've tagged it so other editors will also know to work on it, but if you have the time, it would be a good idea to do some work on it yourself as well. The objective is to communicate to the reader what Ireland's Future is all about, why they are notable and any other useful information about them. Some issues I identified:
  • Notable information. You need not (or rather should not) summarise all the sources which refer to them. For example, saying that Ireland's Future is supported by high-profile figures may be useful information about them, but simply saying that they've written letters to the Taoiseach, or had a chat with a US Congressman is not.
  • Medium is a content-hosting platform, not a newspaper. The article you reference was written by a "Daire O'Criodain" as part of a personal blog series.
  • I think the most important thing to prevent the article from being deleted is for you to locate sources (I pointed you to the WP:THREE essay) that show significant coverage in independent, reliable sources. These should be placed prominently in the lead section (ideally the first couple of lines), so it is clear to readers and other editors. I say this because I think the most likely challenge you'll face in a deletion discussion is the contention that it is too soon for an article; that they are not notable yet and Wikipedia should wait until they are for an article on them. The last line that Ireland's Future is only now being considered a "serious organisation" is dangerous, because "serious" is a far cry from "notable", and the bar for inclusion in an encyclopedia is notability.
I hope this is helpful - I'd edit the article myself if I had the time but I'm currently snowed under. All the best. Kohlrabi Pickle (talk) 00:39, 10 February 2021 (UTC)

Thanks again, you are a great help. I have starting making some of the changes you mention and will continue to do so. Hopefully it's enough to retain the page eventually! Tvdoormat (talk) 08:06, 10 February 2021 (UTC)

Interest In Esports?

Dear Kolhrabi, since we had a discussion on my talk page regarding esports? are you interested in esports, if you are i would like to pitch few article's which in i would require your guidance. I would like to start from working on Orange Rock Esports, Enigma Gaming, Megastars, Godlike Esports, Galaxy Racer Esports. If you can devote few minutes to google about them to check if their News references are suitable for wikipedia i would start working on them and you can then have a look at them and fix the tone if required. Major sources are (sportskeeda, AFK Gaming, Dot Esports, Talk Esports) because these media companies cover esports in india. Posting it here because my TP Became very messy and wanted to keep that discussion related to Zeyan Only. Hums4r (Let's Talk) 11:47, 21 February 2021 (UTC)

Hello Hums4r. Sadly I have no knowledge of esports and very limited interest in them. I initiated the discussion only because of my concerns with the Zeyan Shafiq-related articles. Kohlrabi Pickle (talk) 12:16, 21 February 2021 (UTC)

Help needed

Hi there. Need some help here, apparently a Wikipedian that I saw on several Singapore articles has been posting untrue stuff. Reported it to the admins many times but they don't seem to wanna do anything. Would appreciate some guidance on that, thanks. TheGreatSG'rean (talk) 06:55, 25 February 2021 (UTC)

@TheGreatSG'rean: Heya - which editor is it? Can you link me to where you reported it to an admin? Kohlrabi Pickle (talk) 07:52, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
@Kohlrabi Pickle: Sure, let me find the links. There were two to three times I tried reporting that, but to no avail. They are here:
1) Records by the user in question (link here)
2) Reporting logs (incident in May 2019, incident in May 2020 and incident in November 2020).
I hope the information is useful for the investigation. The latest time I reported this, no admin responded. Besides, that guy went to change info on the Phase 3 in Singapore without any evidence of MOH saying when Phase 3 ends. Thanks. TheGreatSG'rean (talk) 17:41, 25 February 2021 (UTC)
@TheGreatSG'rean: I'm surprised that the admins haven't been more responsive. I can help reach out to admins I've interacted with before, from who I'm confident of a reply. What you need is a clear case, i.e. a series of diffs of the editor adding uncited content, especially content that was later found to be inaccurate. 10 should be enough. Ideally these would include the edits that editors responded to on SBS3800P's talk page. I would do this myself, but sadly I have exams in the next 2 weeks and I can't spare the time right now. If you do it, I'll help you present the case either at ANI or to a particular admin. In the meantime, I have placed a "final warning" on SBS3800P's talk page. Kohlrabi Pickle (talk) 01:09, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
Thanks for the help, really appreciate it. I'll let you know if I report and if so, follow up from there. All the best in the papers! TheGreatSG'rean (talk) 03:17, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
