British Film Designers Guild
[edit]How about some coverage in books, magazines, or newspapers? That's normally how articles are written here - from secondary sources, not from personal knowledge, which is apparently the case with you. Don't be surprized if someone attempts to delete it later on. - NYC JD (objection, asked and answered!) 13:01, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
Deletion
[edit]It's always best to write the article in your word processor first, and then copy and paste - its easier to edit, and avoids deletion by new page patrollers.
You need to make sure that your articles provide independent verifiable sources that the subject meets the notability guidelines, that is you need to list independent websites or other sources that enable readers to verify what you are saying - note the BFDG comment above. Hope this helps, I'll lay off for now, Jimfbleak 15:22, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
- Maurice Carter is an example - he is clearly notable, assuming the content is true, but you have not provided any links or sources for what you are saying. Whilst I don't doubt your integrity, you would be surprises how many convincing hoax articles are posted, so it's a necessary chore. Jimfbleak
- Andreas Kneller is another new article, by a more experienced editor - have a look for guidance on style for writing biographies. Jimfbleak 15:28, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:BFDG co.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:BFDG co.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:58, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

More information needed about File:BFDG Gold.jpg
[edit]Hello, Kodystanton!
It was really helpful of you to you to upload File:BFDG Gold.jpg. However, we need to properly format the image license information in order to keep and use new images.
If you can edit the description and add one of these templates, that would be great. If you're not sure how or would like some help, please ask us at the media copyright questions page and we'll be happy to assist you.
Thanks again! --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 13:05, 5 February 2012 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
