Peer review limits
Hi Kodster, since you have several peer review requests currently open, I wanted to let you know about the new guidelines at Wikipedia:Peer review/Request removal policy which places the following limits on peer review requests: "Nominations are limited to one per editor per day and four total requests per editor. Articles must be free of major cleanup banners and 14 days must have passed since the previous peer review, FAC, GAN, or A-class review. For more information on these limits see here." This was discussed at Wikipedia_talk:Peer_review#Proposed_limits.
The current requests you have made can stay open (they are grandfathered in), but I wanted to make you aware of the new limits for future requests. Thanks for all your work here, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 01:39, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

LOL - poor Hillary I still want her to win darn it. — Realist2 (Come Speak To Me) 20:43, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
In response to the above. I do believe Obama got the nomination yesterday. As you'll see on my userpage, I support him.:)Xp54321 (Vandals Beware!!!,Contribs) 21:45, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
The Beatles
Hey mate, have to say, the chances of you getting The Beatles article to FA are remote. Ive been trying to keep the article to a hi standard ony for uber beatles fans to insert "Snopes" as a source multiple times even though its a bad source. Your going to have to fight every tooth and nail so it probably wont be worth it, unless you can knock sense into the situation. Im staying out of, I now hoe protective some can be. — Realist2 (Come Speak To Me) 00:20, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Thankyou
Cheers, hope your back at wiki full time soon. I think your article has a real good chance. Ive put another article up too so fingers crossed for the both of us. — Realist2 (Come Speak To Me) 18:18, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
Rolling Stone
Ill take another lookie now and let you know on the article talk page. Yes it has been like a ghost town on wikipedia today, my watchlist has been quiet, ive been busy though setting up the WP:JANET. — Realist2 (Come Speak To Me) 22:38, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, i think its ready, on inspection. --— Realist2 (Come Speak To Me) 23:34, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yay!! Best of luck buddy. Just make sure your here when the review is on lol, not like last time remember. :-) — Realist2 (Come Speak To Me) 17:54, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
- Wow, that was easy peasy lol, well done!! --— Realist2 (Come Speak To Me) 17:20, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
Please see the instructions at Template:Articlehistory; there were a number of problems there:[1]
- You had dropped the "1" on "action1"
- It's "GAN" for the action, not "GA"
- It's Peer review, not Peer Review (note capitalization)
- It's "failed" not "fail"
- When you build the AH, you should remove the old templates
Hope this helps, SandyGeorgia (Talk) 18:37, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
Bad Things Soon
K look at this. They seem to suspect we're meatpuppets or sockpuppets or a "barnstar cabal". Any comment? I'm just confused. Communicate by email if you'd prefer. Sorry to drop such a message while you're in europe.Xp54321 (Hello!,Contribs) 22:26, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

- Believe or not I know that term.Think star trek:tng. Alsoas much as I want to I will not resort to profanity, yet. my parents raised me with high moral standards. But I have to admit seeing those posts on Iri's talkpage made me want to smash my computer. LOL, I just got my new glasses(Mail, went to eye doctor 2 weeks ago). All the better to see the bad faith assumptions by Iri and (maybe)co.Xp54321 (Hello!,Contribs) 00:02, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
- I would like to wait for it's response before taking it further. Admins rarely march against their own kind anyway so its probably useless. Im not interested in adminship, rather my reputation. Thanks for clarifying things for Xp, Realist2 and me. I noticed you made some changes on your user page. Do you mind if I add one more thing? --RyRy5 (talk) 00:59, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

Developments
- Iri receives barnstar for "having the gumption to stand against the myspace set"--Xp54321 (Hello!,Contribs) 01:22, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
- Metros agrees with User:East718(on "standing up") but not on requesting checkuser or blocks for anyone.--Xp54321 (Hello!,Contribs) 01:54, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
- Hey hey Xp54321 let's not go talking about people behind others' backs :) Kodster doesn't like that (just playin' Kodster). And yes, I agree with east718 that it took a lot of "gumption" to speak up for what s/he believes in and take flak for it. Doesn't necessarily mean that I agree with what Iridescent says though. Metros (talk) 02:06, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, sorry.Kod asked for info about any "developments". Anyways I have nothing against you M.But I strongly disagree with Iri's opinions about cu ,block, the whole "mob, cabal," thing, and the barnstars thing. I won't be bothering iri though, I'll be waiting for a response from him/her as will everyone else involved. Oh, and what's gumption?Xp54321 (Hello!,Contribs) 02:27, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
- To put it bluntly (don't really know of another way to nicely explain it without other big words) it's basically "having the balls to do it". Sorry, haha, that's really the only way I can think to explain it. Well, actually, "having the guts to do it" works too; but for whatever reason I thought of the other way first. Metros (talk) 02:35, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

Okay! Thanks for the info! But now I just thought of something!;)In a way Iri was kicked in the balls/punched in the gut for doing it.Ouch!:)--Xp54321 (Hello!,Contribs) 02:40, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
- Eh, I guess that depends on your POV. If anything, the anger and backlash will just increase Iridescent's dislike of you all. It'll just increase the desire to find reasons to block, too. *Shrug* just what I think of how Iridescent will react, but, I'll let Iridescent speak to that. Metros (talk) 02:46, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry Metros but Iris already expressed her/his bad faith, terrible judgement, you can only expect the four of us to be hurt and offended. You know more than most how seriously I take sock pupptry and accusations of it. Iris comments were completely unprofessional. — Realist2 (Come Speak To Me) 02:55, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
- And what did your rants and raves accomplish in your opinion? Iridescent got what s/he wanted: you all pissed off. Your responses will not turn Iridescent's opinions at all, but, rather, just increase the issues against you. Metros (talk) 03:01, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

- She/he has nothing to prove/issues against me, I havent broken any wikipolicy, as far as I remember adding your barnstars to your user page coundn't get you blocked. All she/he has are absurd allegations and a wonderful sense of bad faith. — Realist2 (Come Speak To Me) 05:10, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
- Well, what can we do about it? He uses his administrator status to pretend that he's better than us. OK, well, he can't block me for not doing anything. I'm just going to ignore him; Xp54321 is the only reason I know about this in the first place (he told me). I thank him for thinking about me when other users talk about me negatively behind my back. Sgt. Pepper
Some Time articles to source: [2], [3]. That first link was a cover story from 1967 about the release of the album. Here's the cover: [4] That will be your most valuable source from the period. WesleyDodds (talk) 01:18, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
- NY Times 20 years later (As you can imagine, on the 20th year anniversary of the album's release, everybody overdid the "It was twenty years ago today" bit in promoting a reissue). Includes snippets of a Washington Times review by Carl Bernstein. indopug (talk) 01:33, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
By the way, if you're looking for an article with a bit more notability comparable to a Beatles album to follow, I've been working on Nevermind for a while now, hoping to get it to GA status soon. WesleyDodds (talk) 22:15, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
- Make "Concept" a subset of the Music section. I read a Q article from 1987 the other night where George Martin said they really didn't bother to maintain the concept throughotut the record. In fact, he said he was given free reign to determine the tracklisting, aside from tracks like the title song, "With a Little help From My Friends", and "A Day in the Life", which had to be at certain places on the record. "With or Without You" starts off side two because he couldn't figure out where else to put it. WesleyDodds (talk) 02:31, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
I read the news today oh boy...
Hey! i just saw your message on Realist2's page and that you started a peer review. I was thinking of whipping up a few Beatles albums up into some basic structure/shape and would love a collaboration. Since I've read/copy-edited/FA-reviewed a number of album articles I have a pretty good idea of which way to go; so it might be better to close the PR for now (it'll be a strain on resources). Cheers!--indopug (talk) 22:28, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, I already removed those. I was talking about getting the article up to GA. indopug (talk) 23:05, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
- Well my favoured method of starting off and is finding a model article and thoroughly riping it off. For example, I remember while beginning work on "Touch Me I'm Sick" I was just trying to make it as similar to "Smells Like Teen Spirit" as I could :D. By the way, what sources do you have? I have access to two Lewisohn books (Complete Beatles Chronicle and Recording Sessions) indopug (talk) 23:19, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

- jeez its impossible to make a good faith edit on that page without going through a nearly-parliamentary process of consensus-building. I'll check my sources and get back to you on the Harrision thing, although just "George went to India where he worked with Ravi Shankar should do". indopug (talk) 15:13, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
- Look at what your buddy left on my talk-page. indopug (talk) 06:13, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
- Actually the issue was about the (admittedly) free pictures in The Quarrymen article. I saw no sense in having pictures of a banjo and a washboard just because they were mentioned in the article; so I removed them, leaving an edit summary stating them to be irrelevant to the article. (By that logic, every band article should have a picture of a guitar in it) I even suggested to Andreasegde to include pictures of the band-members instead, but he still continued to refer to me as some sort of blind Napoleon.
- As for Sgt Pepper's I'm sorry to say that I've decided not to edit too many Beatles pages in the future. You've been great but the rest seem to go hysterical on acting boldly and in good faith to improve the article. Cheers, indopug (talk) 18:09, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
- The music/composition/lyrics/themes sections are never chronological, its understood. So its alright to leave them as it is. indopug (talk) 18:12, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
- My logic for it in Background was that it didn't end up on the final record. So its not part of the Recording of the album. indopug (talk) 20:42, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

RfA and Xp
Hi Kod, earlier Xp got into a minor flame war with "Malleus Fatuorem" (Malleus has a distinctive way with words) on the topic of age at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Ryan. Safe to say, he single handedly declared war on a number of high profile editors. He has now left a sign on the top of his talk page (about ageism) and has gone offline. When he returns he will likely continue, it will only get messy for him. Would you mind talking to him/emailing him. Thankyou's :-) — Realist2 (Who's Bad?) 02:02, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
- Xp has retired, there were further... events, its very unfortunate. — Realist2 (Who's Bad?) 03:30, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
- I just had to be honest, If I didn't tell him straight he was going to end up banned. If he does return he needs to get back to work, avoiding the drama areas. Oh check out the "people who hate me" list on my user page, lol the comments are so funny. — Realist2 (Who's Bad?) 17:55, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
Do you watchlist this article? Have you seen how much its changed since it past GA? — Realist2 (Who's Bad?) 02:56, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
