Hi DoriSmith
I was told from the German admin to use a user Benutzer:Etron770/pagexy to build up a new site in my German user area.
I am sure it was an error to use Benutzer:Etron770 instead user:Etron770 or similar, sorry for this.
I would like to implement (as I am familiar with Wiki) a translation of a german page, translated from an member BBC Broadcast (as he is not familiar with Wiki)
can you tell me what's the common way on the english pages to build up a page in my workspace and shift it if it is read to the wiki ?
I just realized that I am a complete new user on the english pages? Do I have no history no workspace here? I already started some articles and changed some on the german wiki wiht my account.
Is it possible to build up the sites in my German workspace and shift them to the english pages if they are ready?

You deleted my comment

[edit]

but here it is again (and of course you may use subpages as sandboxes here). Note that I also deleted the useless redirects all this moving created.

I have moved your page to User:Etron770/Konstanze Krueger, where you can work on it and later move it into the main space when you are ready. Contact me if you have questions about this. —Kusma (t·c) 08:46, 9 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Kusma
I am not so familiar with the en formations. Maybe you could have a look to the page Konstanze_Krüger
additionally: whats the common procedure for a German and an English spelling. The name Krüger is spelled as Krueger in English scientific literature of Prof. Krueger. Do you uses redirects for that?
Etron770 (talk) 05:46, 17 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I don't have much time, here are just some short and unsorted comments. Generally, enwiki is very redirect friendly. Konstanze Krueger and Konstanze Kruger (tagged as {{R from title without diacritics}}) and possibly even Constanze Krüger (as {{R from misspelling}}) are possible redirects (and so is her birth name). I did a tiny bit of cleanup on the page. What puzzles me is whether she still is at FH Nürtingen or now at Regensburg -- is she in both places? I am not 100% convinced she meets our WP:GNG/WP:PROF notability guidelines ("Relevanzkriterien") but then I have no idea of horses and the related sciences. You probably should find some articles that can link to the page, which is currently an orphan. At least Krüger should mention her. Hope that helps a little, —Kusma (t·c) 19:56, 17 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thank's for you help
I added on the page talk the link to the German notability check - its German but maybe better than nothing ...

She is 4 days a week in Nuertingen and 1 Day in Regensburg but the full time appointment is in Nuertingen and Regensburg is a part time appointment

Ways to improve Konstanze_Krüger

[edit]

Thanks for creating Konstanze_Krüger, Etron770!

Wikipedia editor Accedie has tagged the page as having some issues to fix. In addition, they wrote this note for you:

Good work on this article! Some English-language sources would be good, if possible, as well as a copyedit – it looks like much of the text was translated from the German Wikipedia article, and some of the wording is a bit awkward.

The tags on the page can be removed by you or another editor when the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on Accedie's talk page.

The text was completly translated from the german pages, but by an native speaker and member of the BBC (British English).
Therefore I am not able to improve the language.
I am not sure that the sentence: In June 2012, she was promoted to the position of Professor of Zoology at the University of Regensburg.[citation needed] is translated right. Prof. Krueger finished her Habilitation at the University of Regensburg, the only citation I found was on the homepage of her institute in Nürtingen Prof. Dr. Konstanze Krüger | Curriculum Vitae now she is private lecturer at the University of Regensburg and she is supervising PHD Students from the university of Regensburg. Maybe this sentence could be changed that it is equal to that.
It is difficult to find references in english, but the German references were proved before submitting the German page. Is it possible to accept those references because the German Wiki Editors accepted them as references?
