Britten

[edit]

I have removed your recent addition for the time being: I don't doubt that it was correct in every particular, but for all Wikipedia articles, and our top-rated "Featured Articles" (such as Britten's) in particular, we require all statements to be supported by citations to reliable sources. Point me in the direction of such a source for your recent addition and I'll gladly show you how to add the requisite citation. Best wishes, and a warm welcome to Wikipedia. Tim, I visited the School recently. It is called Benjamin Britten and is in Lowestoft. I met a young gentleman from the Britten Pears Foundation who confrmed the relationship as did the Headmaster.
Yes, but do have a look at the page on how to refer to verifiable sources. The thinking is that anyone looking at any statement in Wikipedia can, if he or she wants, check that it is backed up by a good, published source. Your conversations with the man from the BPF and the headmaster don't satisfy that criterion of verifiability. I've found the school's website, which is a suitable source, and I'll add a line accordingly to the Britten article. Tim riley talk 08:20, 29 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please see the notice at at c:User talk:Knowyourtown#File:Crouch Burial at Hartismere.jpg. I've left a message on your Wikimedia Commons talkpage (which is different from your Wikipedia talkpage) about adding categories to your photos, including instructions on how to do it.
