Page creation

[edit]

Hello! I do not do custom creations, but I can lead you in the right direction. Check out this page. Any questions just let me know. Red Director (talk) 18:11, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I wanna create a page for an artist, can you tell me what type of references I need to make sure it’ll get approved ? So far I can link some articles and IMDb page Knowledgenerd95 (talk) 00:27, 16 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This is the draft, can you help ? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Jonn_Poker?markasread=190085898&markasreadwiki=enwiki Knowledgenerd95 (talk) 01:16, 16 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You can't grab photos off the Internet that were taken by someone else and upload them to Commons or add them to a Wikipedia article. Read the licensing rules on Commons. Your latest upload looks like it was taken by a professional photographer, so the photographer's the only one who can grant the license. Schazjmd (talk) 00:30, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Btw, I just noticed your edit summary. No, a photograph being on Instagram does not make it "copyright free". Schazjmd (talk) 00:32, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, James Charles himself asked for a photo update on his twitter and he approved ! Here’s the proof. https://twitter.com/jamescharles/status/1261748724461522944?s=21 Please re add the photo ! Knowledgenerd95 (talk) 00:54, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The photo was not taken by a photographer, it was takes by James himself and posted on his own Instagram. Please stop changing the profile photo. The page needs one Knowledgenerd95 (talk) 00:56, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You didn't take it, so you can't grant license for its use. Read the rules I linked above. Multiple people have told James how to upload a photo to Commons for his article. Schazjmd (talk) 00:58, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Can I use one taken by Getty images and credit the author ? Knowledgenerd95 (talk) 01:02, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

James has asked me to upload one for him. He asked on the twitt and he was thankful when I uploaded the previous one Knowledgenerd95 (talk) 01:03, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This is my last response. Read the rules. (And Getty images are protected by copyright.) Schazjmd (talk) 01:04, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
