Welcome!
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, Kmp42! Thank you for your contributions. I am Doug Weller and I have been editing Wikipedia for some time, so if you have any questions feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. You can also check out Wikipedia:Questions or type {{help me}}
at the bottom of this page. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- How to write a great article
- Discover what's going on in the Wikimedia community
Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that will automatically produce your username and the date. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Doug Weller (talk) 10:50, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
You might want to look at my posts at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Anthropology and Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Genetics. By the way, we don't have "Resource sections". I added that as a 'see also'. We try to keep see also sections short, wikilinking within the article where appopriate. You may well be right about the text I deleted, but it really did need sourcing. See WP:NOR, a policy I had problems with when I started. Doug Weller (talk) 10:52, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
redirecting
[edit]Basically you click on the edit box at the very top of the page which brings up the entire article in the edit field, deleted it, and add #REDIRECT [[dfdsfsdgsggsgg]] with dfdsfsdgsggsgg the name of the target page. Do the same with the talk page (using the name of the target talk page). Just be aware that if anyone disagrees they may revert you. Doug Weller (talk) 15:18, 25 November 2015 (UTC)
