[edit]Does this mean that your user name will be appearing on First World War (or before) ship articles, and why 1923?
RASAM (talk) 13:17, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
Answer to Q. 1: May be, but probably not in a hurry.
Answer to Q. 2: 1923 was the year when the Washington Naval Treaty was ratified. This led to profound changes in warship types, particularly in the cruiser category that I am most interested in.

Word and year
[edit]"I am an archaeologist with a specialism in the Early Middle Ages." Is 'specialism' a pukka word? I have looked through three dictionaries and couldn't find it.
"1923 was the year when the Washington Naval Treaty was ratified." It might be an idea to put that bit on your user page to save a bit of head-scratching by visitors to it.

'Specialism' is widely used in academia for the field in which you are a specialist. The word is in the *Oxford Online Dictionary. And thank you for the suggestion to explain the date range of my naval interests - I have added explanations on my User Page. Klumpenburg (talk) 20:25, 3 March 2016 (UTC)
