Johan neeskens

[edit]

are you sure Neeskens is jewish? I`m removing the edit untill I have found (or you can supply me with) verification. --Isolani 17:47, 15 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I posted a link on his bio page to an Internet site called Jews in Soccer. Klingklang 02:43, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Jews in Sports was the site I found it on, to be precise. Klingklang 02:48, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
thanks for the verification, I have reverted my revert. I am a bit careful about this last because quite a few names have been on it of people who arent jewish at all, hope this clears my action up. Strange I didn`t see the link in the first place. Oh well. --Isolani 11:13, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No problem - it was only a recent discovery on my part, and I've been a fan of Dutch football for years. Klingklang 15:32, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Platini Translation

[edit]

Me and a few guys started doing a few parts on translating this article in User:Serte/Sandbox4. Feel free to use the parts already translated there to save you some time if you need. Thanks a lot for what you're doing. Cheers--Serte * Talk * Contribs 18:36, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like we've been translating the same parts of the article, but you're keeping very close to the style of the French one. I can show you some of what I've written. Klingklang 16:46, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've created a sandbox page so I can paste up my work on the translation so far. I'm trying to combine the French and English versions and the page will get smaller and smaller until I feel that it's finished. Klingklang 17:31, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Munich

[edit]

Would you like to help out at WikiProject Munich? I need help with thetranslation page and you can help out with any other thing you want. Kingjeff 02:59, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, I'll help. I'll let you know when I start on a particular article. I'd like to give the Bayern Munich article a try at some point. Klingklang 01:10, 23 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Great. But don't feel pressured to do just translation editing. Feel free to do anything you want. Although due to recent events, stubbing articles has been put on hold for a little bit. Kingjeff 01:13, 23 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! I'm just working on completing a fairly exhaustive translation of a French Wikipedia entry on Michel Platini, so when I've "recovered" from that, I might have a go at tweaking some of the WikiProject Munich articles. Klingklang 01:19, 23 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Translation of German page

[edit]

Hi Klingklang. I was browsing Wikipedia:Translators_available#German-to-English and noticed you were listed as a translator. I would like to add the German wikipedia article "Josef Maria Auchentaller" to English if possible but I don't speak German. I would use Google translate but it comes out very confusing. I would appreciate any help with this idea. --Turn685 (talk) 19:30, 6 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and sorry for the late response - I haven't actually logged into Wikipedia in a couple of years! I'll have a look at the article and see if I can be of any assistance, assuming that you haven't already completed work on it. :) Klingklang (talk) 05:47, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Are you interested in translating the article on the award-winning 2010 documentary film on the Armenian Genocide of 1915? In case you are, please go the talk page to coordinate the effort as I've also asked other editors (hope you understand). Gun Powder Ma (talk) 14:43, 13 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to an in-person meetup in Mohua / Golden Bay

[edit]
Golden Bay Air are holding some seats for us until 21 November

Thinking about your summer break? Think about joining other Wikipedians and Wikimedians in Golden Bay / Mohua! Details are on the meetup page. There's heaps of interesting stuff to work on e.g. the oldest extant waka or New Zealand's oldest ongoing legal case. Or you may spend your time taking photos and then upload them.

Golden Bay is hard to get to and the airline flying into Tākaka uses small planes, so we are holding some seats from and to Wellington and we are offering attendees a $200 travel subsidy to help with costs.

Be in touch with Schwede66 if this event interests you and you'd like to discuss logistics. Schwede66 09:14, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
