Buzzstarter article
[edit]Hello, thanks for your edits. I'm a bit confused by the Buzzstarter article and wanted to discuss it with you.
If the company no longer operates, are there sources for this? Can you tell me what edits were made by a former employee and how they're inaccurate so I can correct them? Just reply below and I will read it. Blythwood (talk) 00:32, 31 July 2016 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Kleubay. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Traction Labs, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:
- avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
- instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
- when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Blythwood (talk) 11:28, 2 August 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you for your comments in this edit summary. If you have no connection with Traction Labs, why did its CEO task you with deleting the page on its previous incarnation? And why did you upload the logos of Buzzstarter and Traction as your own work? Blythwood (talk) 22:47, 3 August 2016 (UTC)
Hello Blythwood, I'm still learning as I go. I'm sorry. Is this how I reply to you? Are you seeing this? The founder reached out to me to inform me of some inaccuracies to his company. I do not work for Traction Labs. I am an avid reader and user of Wikipedia. In fact, I have donated a few times, and the facts are there are very few articles left to write, or that I feel qualified enough to create. Living in Silicon Valley, I come across many internet companies that I can reference and create with confidence. I am a former American journalist, so I also feel confident in being able to write with objectivity. All of my sentences are backed up with reputable media citations. Is there any disagreement with that? I have adhered to all conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you.

[edit] Hello! Thank you for your recent contributions to Adriana Gascoigne. I did have one note for you. I am working on a maintenance project to clean up Category:Pages using infoboxes with thumbnail images. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this: |image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]
, instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do: |image=SomeImage.jpg
. There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption
. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recetly added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!! Proposed deletion of Traction Labs
[edit]The article Traction Labs has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Minimal coverage in independent sources, apparently created by PR manager for the company.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Blythwood (talk) 17:21, 3 August 2016 (UTC)
