I believe you mistakenly identified Atanasoff as an electrical engineer based upon the description of his father in the article lead. JVA was a physics professor and though he did early work in electronics, it would be improper to refer to him as an electrical engineer, as his work was in research and scientific administration, not electrical engineering. - yes you are right, thanks a lot. I really misread that sentence. --Klaeren (talk) 09:16, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
- If the Atanasoff image is not on commons, the problem may be that it is a fair use image of a deceased individual, and only free images are allowed to be put up on commons. (Correct me if I am wrong.) Robert K S (talk) 20:44, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
- oh I see, that is most certainly the problem. There is some remark in that line connected with the picture which seems to be scanned from a photograph from Iowa State University. Do you think it would be politically correct if I save a copy on my computer and upload it to the German wikipedia? Cheers, Herbert --Klaeren (talk) 22:38, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
- I believe that is the proper course of action, yes. Robert K S (talk) 23:03, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
