Article Yadav

[edit]

I noticed that you wish to edit the article "Yadav". Let me tell you about few healthy editing tips. First of all, please make yourself known to the fact that the changes you want were strongly opposed by other editors. So, please discuss and watch for any oppose on the talk page. Resolve the issues by mutual discussion. What so ever you add shall not be a copy violation WP:COPYVIO and must be supported adequately with the reliable sources WP:RS. Please not that the Britishers accounts of the Raj period are objectionable, so please add more and more modern sources. Stronger support of the sources will give stability to the contents in the article. Thanks. Please feel free to discuss, if I can help you in editing. Thanks.--MahenSingha (Talk) 18:28, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Continued warring at Yadav

[edit]

Hello Kiranmayi pal. You need consensus to make a change like this one. You've been warned about this before, per the above. The next time you try to add material at Yadav that doesn't have any talk page support from others you may be blocked without further notice. The caste articles are a frequent area for promotional editing, where people try to magnify the importance of particular castes. We go by what the WP:Reliable sources have said. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 23:43, 15 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I am not edit warring. Infact Wikipedia neutral point of view is being violated here. I have provided many proof which include phd work by Lucia Michelluti which has been ignored and article is biased.

Hello, Kiranmayi pal, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia. Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who use multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. regentspark (comment) 15:38, 18 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I am not sure what do you mean. Why would any one use different accounts. If you really want to know about me. I am a phd student in MIT doing research on neural networks. About 5 feet 8 Female. So I know what I am talking about. and then I travel to Chicago for my part time lectures and provide technical reviews for companies.

  • Your editing pattern on the Yadav article looks similar to two or three others. If you're not the same person, then you don't need to worry. This is just FYI.--regentspark (comment) 23:38, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • But, looking through your comments, I'm going to give you a warning. Articles related to south asian castes are subject to discretionary sanctions and your extensive comments can be seen as tendentious. You need to be careful.
The Wikipedia community has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions on any editor who is active on any page about social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties, related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in further inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or a topic ban. The discussion leading to the imposition of these sanctions can be read here.

Please familiarise yourself with the information page at Wikipedia:General sanctions/South Asian social groups.

Edits which seem to promote the historical significance of a particular caste, and rely on cherry-picking of evidence, might be viewed as WP:Tendentious editing. You are one in a long series of editors who have taken a similar POV. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 16:50, 18 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Notice that you are now subject to an arbitration enforcement sanction

[edit]

The following sanction now applies to you:

indefinitely prohibited from editing related to Yadav, anywhere on the English Wikipedia, including but not limited to articles, talk pages, user and user talk pages, categories, templates, portals, drafts, sandboxes and their talk pages.

You have been sanctioned long term tendentious editing to promote a particular point of view

This sanction is imposed in my capacity as an uninvolved administrator under the authority of the Arbitration Committee's decision at Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/India-Pakistan#Final decision and, if applicable, the procedure described at Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Discretionary sanctions. This sanction has been recorded in the log of sanctions. If the sanction includes a ban, please read the banning policy to ensure you understand what this means. If you do not comply with this sanction, you may be blocked for an extended period, by way of enforcement of this sanction—and you may also be made subject to further sanctions.

You may appeal this sanction using the process described here. I recommend that you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template if you wish to submit an appeal to the arbitration enforcement noticeboard. You may also appeal directly to me (on my talk page), before or instead of appealing to the noticeboard. Even if you appeal this sanction, you remain bound by it until you are notified by an uninvolved administrator that the appeal has been successful. You are also free to contact me on my talk page if anything of the above is unclear to you. —SpacemanSpiff 11:45, 21 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
