Mark Philo inquest report

Why have you removed the paragraph on the inquest into Mark Philo's fatal car crash? There was a source, it was written with a NPOV and is certainly relevant to the article. Bedders 08:04, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Kakhaia.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Kakhaia.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Note on the FA Cup Final page

Hello, just wanted to let you know that I reverted your edit to the FA Cup Final page since comments to other editors should not be seen on the main page. Category:FA Premier League players

I'm sorry to moan at you, but....this category states: This category is for footballers who have appeared in the English Premier League. Many of them are not Englishmen. However I've noticed you've added some players who have never played in the Premier League, and have been merely signed on as players for Prem clubs.  Slumgum T. C.   22:00, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Franck Montangy Monaco GP 2006.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Franck Montangy Monaco GP 2006.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

A-Class & B-Class

Um, reverting without explanation isn't very nice. But, in any case:

 • The other levels omit the "-Class" from the end; is there any reason why we can't be consistent here?
 • How are (a) the different colors and (b) the special icons for FA and GA not sufficient to distinguish them?

Re: Leeds United AFC player category

Whether or not they have had a contract at the club, technically if they havn't played for the 1st team then they haven't played for the club thus are not a player for the club and just a previous employee. By doing this I was trying to make the category not contain players that weren't in the list at the end of the page Leeds United AFC Players, which should only contain players that have made an appearance for the 1st team. I have altered the category to state only leeds 1st team players and am going to remove all the players you have re-added who havn't played for the 1st team. The arsenal category may state that players may be present even if they haven't played for the 1st team but others including the Manchester United and Liverpool ones do not. --Chappy84 14:15, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Running Man Barnstar
Just to say thanks for your hard work on Football related articles, especially on helping the Adam Boyd article reached good article status. Thanks. Englishrose 22:28, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I was looking through the history of Jermaine Beckford and noticed that you had altered a lot of the links to teams pages to the full link version i.e. Leeds United. I just thought i would let you know about the templates Template:Afc and Template:Fc which can be used to make what you type much shorter i.e. Leeds United can be written simply as , and Middlesbrough can be written simply as . --Chappy84 15:43, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Brian Horton

I'm removing Brian Horton from the list of famous journeymen. Horton played for five clubs in his career (Hednesford, Port Vale, Brighton, Luton and Hull). Six if you include Walsall, for whom he never actually played. That's nothing compared to the likes of Burridge, Claridge and Redfearn. --Badmotorfinger 10:39, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Jamie - Thanks for your support on getting the List of Formula One fatal accidents to Featured List status, much appreciated. WikiProject Tyne and Wear

Hi there, I'm currently considering making a wikiproject called Wikipedia:WikiProject Tyne and Wear and I'm just wondering if you would be interested in joining if and when It's created as I noticed from a user category you live in County Durham. It would be all about improving and creating wikipedia articles relating to Tyne and Wear. If you have any questions, comments please tell me on my talk page and if you know any other users who maybe interested in joining please feel free to tell them as it will need a few members in order to make it run smoothly. I will also be willing to create the project page and templates etc if there are enough active members. Please leave your name here if you are interested. Could you also please tell me whether you are interested or not on my talk page - You can take as-long as you require to decide! Thanks. TellyaddictEditor review! 16:19, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

I put on some pictures on this to do with this event. You removed the one with Felipe Massa and the Takuma Sato one. They are related to the Grand Prix and were taken at the race. I would appreciate if you wouldn't delete it - I have worked very hard to put them on there. I have now reinstated the photos.

Many thanks for Co-operating with me. Davnel03 20:24, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, seeing you have been involved in previous Afd debates on the subject I invite you to contribute to this discussion to clarify certain issues about football player notability. I think clearer guidelines are needed to avoid repeated inappropriate nominations for deletion and time consuming discussions. Cheers! StephP 22:11, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

FC Barcelona's Current Squad

Why exactly you change to the old format? I've opened a discussion on FC Barcelona to see what people think about that new format, but it's necessary give some time to people see and give their option. Why didn't you post anything on the discussion, before change it? Why the format for FC Barcelona couldn't be different from the other teams?--ClaudioMB 16:59, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Kieren_Westwood.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Kieren_Westwood.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

 1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add Replaceable fair use disputed, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
 2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 10:37, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Simon Rusk

I've been reverting the NVFC vandal's changes to Simon Rusk (and else where for just a few days even though he(?)) thinks I'm somebody else), only really here because of who was changing it. Does being in a age group squad really qualify him as Scottish. So I've put British to be neutral. Jon McCarthy is obviously considered as NI as he was full international.
