Happy New Year!

[edit]
Dear King of Hearts/Archive/2010/01,
I just wanted to wish you and your family a happy new year, however you're celebrating it. Whether 2009 was a good year for you, or if it wasn't the greatest year, hopefully 2010 will be better. Cheers, and happy editing in 2010.

AfD closure

[edit]

While I can't contest your closure of the snowball fight AfD—I was very much in the minority on that one—I think it would be better if you articulated your closures in terms of the decisions reached by participants in an AfD. Your closure statement is phrased more like a vote than an impartial judgment. Everyking (talk) 03:51, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm just tired of typing in the words "the delete side argued ..." and "the keep side argued ..."; I usually reserve those for pointing out weaknesses (i.e. WP:ATA) in arguments. For generally well-argued cases, I just summarize the arguments and explain why one of them is more dominant, without specifying which side said what. -- King of 03:54, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Curious about a relist

[edit]

You relisted WP:Articles for deletion/Brian Scott McFadden and I was curious why. It was already relisted once and the only opposition has been a WP:JUSTAVOTE by an editor who is well known for his long explainations (which makes me suspect he had no valid reason to share). Not opposing you or anything, just wondered about your reasoning. Niteshift36 (talk) 20:06, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Even if the keep !vote weren't there, it would still be a shaky situation: only 2 votes besides the nominator. I would probably have relisted if there were no relists and closed as "delete" if there was one already. Brunk500's link further complicates the situation. I'm expecting that it'll be deleted, but it never hurts to be extra sure. -- King of 00:16, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion about AFA format file delete.

[edit]

I`m the creator of the AFA file format article. The AFA file extension it`s a software extension and not a web content. The A7 say: "This criterion applies only to articles about web content and to articles about people, organizations, and individual animals themselves, not to articles about their books, albums, software, or other creative works.". The AFA file extension it`s a software file extension, not a web content or commercial. For this reason, can you undelete the article?

Thank you.

Sorry for being slow to reply. In any case, I see that it is currently at AFA (file format), so we'll go on from there. -- King of 06:44, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback

[edit]

I noticed that you have rollback rights and I wonder if you can help me by doing a rollback on the List of European stadiums by capacity page. The problem is that the Unidentifyed IP 86.58.16.244's recent edits to the page en masse has removed a helpful link to another page and added a small fraction of the contents of that page in it's place. I would like to ask you if you could roll back the page to a time before he made the edits to save me the tediousity of reverting it one by one. The C of E. God Save The Queen! Never mind, I was mistaken, sorry! The C of E. God Save The Queen! (talk) 15:11, 25 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello King of Hearts! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 5 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Unprotection request at RPP

[edit]

Hi there. There's been a request at RPP for unprotection of List of FETCH! with Ruff Ruffman episodes, which you protected. If you're not around or not available, I'm happy to address it. There's also a request to look at possible socking issues, which I also don't mind looking at later, but you might have better background knowledge on this than I do. GedUK  10:25, 29 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know much more about this than you do; initially I was responding to an RFPP request also. Feel free to act however you see fit. -- King of 22:02, 29 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've unprotected it. GedUK  23:00, 29 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your close of Anita Thigpen Perry

[edit]

You have some cleaning up to do. You closed it at the discussion page, but didn't do the rest of the work. UnitAnode 21:56, 31 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Done - Sometimes the closing script I use goofs up. Thanks for pointing this out! -- King of 21:59, 31 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. It's now stubbed, as there are no secondary sources provided. Thanks for finishing up. UnitAnode 22:05, 31 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
