WikiProject Good Articles Newsletter for December 2007

[edit]

The December 2007 issue of the WikiProject Good Articles newsletter has been published. Comments are welcome on this, as well as suggestions or offers of assistance for the January 2008 issue. Dr. Cash 01:04, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Drive-by reverts aren't too helpful here. Can you read over the talk page discussion and comment there first? It's possible you haven't considered the issues we are trying to address (have you read WP:EW lately? That's not condescension, :-) it had a major overhaul). Dmcdevit·t 00:53, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, your edit has been reverted already, but feel free to join the discussion. Dmcdevit·t 00:57, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Macaroni and cheese color

[edit]

Yea uh, you said don't add personal comments, use only facts...but when referring to the color 'macaroni and cheese', my statement was fact and I press you to find any evidence or professional opinion that says otherwise. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.59.194.146 (talkcontribs) 00:45, December 12, 2007

Uh, I don't think so... -- King of 00:46, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Recomment permanent block for User talk:206.45.111.128

[edit]

In February 2007, you issued a temporary block on User talk:206.45.111.128. That IP address had been engaging in repeated vandalism. Since the block was lifted, the vandalism has continued and numerous warnings have been given. The latest vandalims this morning was to the Hughie Jennings article where the bulk of the article was deleted and replaced with a juvenile sexual rant. At what point can a permanent block be issued? Cbl62 (talk) 18:04, 17 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Usually permanent blocks are not issued to IP's, but several months should keep the vandal away for quite a while. -- King of 07:32, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Load Records catalog

[edit]

Dude, I created the page 5 minutes ago, and it's already being proposed for deletion? Seriously, come on. Eventually I plan on editing the article to mirror the form of Dischord Records catalog, a very similar article which I've recently nominated for Featured list status. But unfortunately, I've been unable to do so in the 5 minutes since I created the article. The Dischord records page took more over a week to complete, so I might need a tad bit more time. Drewcifer (talk) 22:22, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK. -- King of 22:23, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
He just did even worse to an article I created; about two minutes after I'd started it, it had vanished, without giving me a chance to expand it, respond to any criticism or whatever. --Minutae (talk) 00:04, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism

[edit]

Kindly stop your vandalism against "my" articles or I shall report you to an administrator! If you disagree with anything, raise your point in the discussion space! --Minutae (talk) 23:39, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I also now find that you've removed all links to the article you deleted two minutes after I created it, so I've had to waste time manually restoring them in about ten articles, ironically because you claim "no indication of importance/significance". Dude, I'm glad I'm not a newcomer to Wikipedia or your inconsidered drive-by-shooting tactics would have scared me away! --Minutae (talk) 11:43, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

deletion of RHT Entertainment

[edit]

I was curious as to what I need to add to make the article seem less promotional and more factual. I was planning on adding some other articles about RHT from outside sources. Do I need change the historic content or edit the latest projects section? I felt that this delete was a little hasty considering 1) this is my first article and I therefore read all of the tutorial information and what my content should include. I felt that this was done however please let me know. I modeled my article after http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eleven:_A_Music_Company Thanks for your time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Katiescott (talkcontribs) 00:22, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please read WP:CORP and see if the company matches the criteria; if it does, you can recreate the article (or ask me to undelete it). Make sure to assert its notability. -- King of 07:36, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
