Nadia Turner article
[edit]Hello, I am contacting you because you were the closing admin for the Nadia Turner AFD. This article has been recreated a few times since deletion, first as a redirect and then as a stub ([1],[2], [3]). The most recent recreation added some substantial content. I've attempted to add some references, but I'm not convinced that the claims for notability are more substantial than those made (and rejected) at the previous AFD. I welcome your input as to how to deal with this article; I considered reverting to a redirect or relisting at AFD to see whether prior consensus to delete still stands. Regards. --Muchness 01:48, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- I'll leave the decision to you. If you think the subject is notable, then improve the article with more assertions of notability, supported by references. If you think the subject is not, then re-nominate it for AFD. -- King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 17:25, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Julian Goncalves Article
[edit]In response to deletion of julian goncalves

Who warrants whether someone is 'worthy' or 'unworthy' on being in Wikipedia. I saw this young man in many of Western Australia's productions and also as a grand finalist in many prestigious competitions and national events.
I think it would be hard for one to get secondary 'responses' or the like if it is deleted a few days after it has been written.
All one has to do it type his name in Google to see that it comes up. I had a look at other names such as Genevieve Mccarthy (I think this one is more relevant than hers would you not say????)
Surely this should be restored?

________________________________________ Julian Goncalves began in theater and performing arts at the age of 11. From his first has continued to grow, now being confident in performing 'Music Theatre', 'Jazz', 'Classical', 'Pop and Contemporary' as well as dancing and acting and is continuing to be as versatile a performer as possible. [edit] Career Development ________________________________________
Under the direction of Sonja Plummer, Ian Westrip and inspiration and guidance of Vanetta Fields Julian has established a name for himself in the city of Perth, Western Australia. First appearing as an extra in "Parallax and Streetsmartz", he then appeared in television commercials such as Lottery West's 'Everyone Wins'. A change in direction saw him move to singing and dancing, and it is there in which he excelled. In 2002 he was accepted into the Variety Youth Choir, where he was fortunate enough to perform a solo of "Still Call Australia Home" for the Prime Minister John Howard at the Sheraton Hotel, Perth. Other key events in which he was performed as a 'special guest' include the Opening of the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre in 2005, and Buddha's Birthday at the Supreme Court Gardens (2004,2005 and 2006)and the International Rotary Conference Dinner in WA at the Rendezvous Observation City Hotel (2007). In 2006 Julian was selected as a Grand Finalist in Storm The Stage a national competition in which 20 contestants (10 Music Theatre and 10 Drama) perform at the Burswood Theatre for $5000 prize money and the chance to have a private audition for Home and Away. Julian was also asked by a Mater Christi Primary school if he could teach a musical theater song to a few of the classes, so that they could perform it for their upcoming assembly. [edit] The Present At present, Julian (Nathan) Goncalves is studying at WAAPA (Western Australian Academy of Perforing Arts) doing a Bachelor in Music (Classical Performance) and Certificate II in Music Theatre. Besides the courses at WAAPA, he is also involved in an original musical called Lilly's Round which is planning to tour the region of Western Australia. He plans to eventually move overseas and try establish himself as a performer. }} [edit] External Links • Vanetta Fields Home Page • Variety Youth Choir • Storm The Stage Competition

BJAODN and GFDL compliance
[edit]Last year, on April 24, 2006, you added an item[4] to WP:BJAODN which appropriately removed personal details from the item. Unfortunately, it also removed the attribution required by the GFDL, and bringing these pages into GFDL compliance is a heated issue right now. Since you are an admin, if you could find the original deleted article and simply copy the attribution (author and date) from the edit history of the deleted article into the BJOADN page, it would be appreciated. Otherwise, the section may have to be deleted. Thank you. DHowell 00:04, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
Resin application server: the article might be bad but the product itself is OK
[edit]Hello King of Hearts,
My name is Victor and I'm senior Java developer in a retail company in Russia. We use Resin in our production environment and it shows itself as a robust solution. It is able to serve up to 1000000 requests a day and provides 24/7 operation. Also Resin features easy installation and low resource consumption. Combining all these factors with the fact that it is free (GPL) I must note that TCO for this product is quite low. I think many people can benefit from the knowledge that such product exists so it is worth mentioning in Wikipedia. Our company is not affiliated in any way with Caucho Technology, Inc. so my opinion is a detached view.

- Do you wish to create a new article or to restore a deleted article? If you want me to restore an article, what is its exact name? Countless articles are deleted every day, so I'm unable to figure out what article you're talking about. -- King of Hearts 19:56, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
False edit summaries?
[edit]Someone hastily moved material from Story arcs in Doctor Who over to Master (Doctor Who) which was the wrong place for it. Edit summary was not "false".80.4.193.59 23:47, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
- You said "rv," but you didn't revert to any previous version. -- King of Hearts 23:48, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
Siena Catholic College
[edit]Thanks for catching the vandalism I missed on my first revert of Siena Catholic College. That article was a disaster. Trusilver 05:51, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
I resent your accusations, sir.
[edit]> Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to the Anti-pattern page. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you
I agree that the Anti-pattern page is (and should perhaps remain) quite lighthearted, but reference to same phenomenon as described sociological science (such as it is) simply cannot be considered vandalism by any stretch of the imagination.
To quote the relevant section of Homosociality:
Rosabeth Moss Kanter used the term "homosocial reproduction" (originally, "homosexual reproduction") to describe the alleged tendencies of corporate executives to socalize with and promote other men, resulting in a glass ceiling for women in the same environment
Perhaps "Managerial Cloning" does not pass as an anti-pattern, but my edit did not introduce it, I only made the connection. (this being precisely the strength wikis.) Whether or not you made the revert yourself or with some clever tool, I would also submit that your direct accusation of vandalism is insulting.
Not all references to .*sex.*, or even homosex.* are junk.
In any case, I have entered it on Talk:Anti-pattern. It seems to have interested parties, so perhaps someone can rephrase it so that it survives drive-by editors.
Cheers, enjoy the PRC, &c, &c. --C96aes 23:35, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
