Sun (disambiguation)

[edit]

I noticed your edit to Sun (disambiguation). Just thought I'd let you know that disambiguation pages have their own style guidlines, Wikipedia:Manual of Style (disambiguation pages), which includes not using piping and not having excess wikilinks. I'm happy to discuss this.--Commander Keane 22:50, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Problem with Template:Afd2

[edit]

The template Afd2 currently has 2 equal signs on each side (== ==) instead of three, and the WP:AFD is set up so the date is a 2-equal-sign headline and the individual article discussions have 3 equal signs. There were 3 equal signs several days ago, so could you change it back? (It's protected.) --King of Hearts 05:45, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Um, as far as I am aware, it is still three equal signs. --AllyUnion (talk) 09:21, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Please reconsider your support of the expansion of the culture of Asia article and consider nominating it for deletion. There is nothing unifying about cultures as diverse as Israel, Iraq, Pakistan, Iran, former Soviet Republics, China, Vietnam, Taiwan, Indonesia, Nepal, Japan... many of these countries have very very little movement or information flow between them... the very idea of "Asia" doesn't even make sense geographically... it's something of a "not Europe, but on the same landmass as Europe..." the preceding unsigned comment is by 61.59.83.208 (talk • contribs)

AfD

Sorry about that! I'll be more careful in future. Bessel Dekker 00:18, 18 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks!

[edit]

Thanks for reverting my user page. It makes feel special, in some sort of way, to know that I'm important enough (at least in a vandal's eyes) to have my userpage vadalized. ;) Revived 20:57, 18 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Cookbookwiki

[edit]

Hello, I am Robert, I have a cooking wiki already established that is in need of a few good contributors. I would be interested in giving Admin rights to a few good contributors. The wiki has mucho content but no real active community and just a handful of contributors. The project is located at Cookbookwiki.com and I can be contacted at wikimanager@yahoo.com, I recently removed google ads and such. I need help getting the community part of the wiki active. Feel free to stop by and add your comments to our home page discussion or get started. From my understanding, there is much content that can be added that is missing from wikipedia due to politics. So, if you would like a cooking wiki playground, please stop by or contact me. - Robert

GarageBand revert

[edit]

I would be interested in knowing why you reverted the removal of a link to an apparently non-notable band in GarageBand. I'm not saying it was wrong thing to do, but I don't see the reason. Aapo Laitinen 17:42, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Your request at Speedy Deletions has been fulfilled

[edit]

Hi there! Just wanted to drop you a line to inform you that I've fulfilled your request that User:King of Hearts/Sandbox be deleted. -- Joe Beaudoin Jr. Think out loud 22:48, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

{{Subst:}}

[edit]

I usually use it. I just forgot this time :)--Shanel 03:43, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, the reason you gave when applying the speedy delete tag isn't one of the speedy criteria, so I've moved it to AfD. You might want to vote here: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/One Of Us or One Of Them CLW 09:52, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

1978 in Australia

[edit]

Hi - you recently (20 December) tagged the new article 1978 in Australia page for merger with 1978. I think when you tag pages, you should cmment on the proposal itself. In this case it is particularly important since both pages are part of significant series (one for each year), are already cross-refernced to each other, and what you are proposing is a major change! Please review your proposal and provide comments. Thanks--A Y Arktos 20:48, 25 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Norwegian Academy of Science Speedy

[edit]

I saw that you speedied the Norwegian Academy of Science page. It appears that the author removed the mark (I am still unclear as to what they were up to), but it seems to be a legit. organization, which Wikipedia should probably have. I went ahead and redirected to Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters which I created as a short stub, (the official name seems to include "and letters"), but did not restore the deletion mark. As a relative newcommer to Wikipedia, I am not sure if protocol demands restoring it, or if we can leave it be. I did mention it to the User:RJBurkhart, the creating author, who approves as well. But since you nominated it, I wanted to check in with you. Many thanks --Hansnesse 01:07, 29 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

please Dont delete Joel Wijesuria/Mickey Todiwala!

[edit]

hello,

i'm really sorry. i seem to have misdirected you. we are a group of indie filmmakers who have created 2 movies so far, one has met with good ratings and the other was a complete failure.

we are in the process of being listed on IMDB and are planning to release the good film and an upcoming film(2006) to various international film festivals. We also are creating webpages for our companies and for our existing movie. we plan to have everything ready by mid 2006 and can then give more details and more information on these wikipedia articles.

please do not remove these articles because we are in the process of updating them to bring a better understanding of us and our movies to the public.

thank you.

joel wijesuria

Thanks

[edit]

Emilie Berner

[edit]

Sry someone else made a mistake and mispelled his name in german americans which created a dead link. I took it upon myself to make a new page to fill it in. I didn't notice that it was mispelled until it was too late. Please delete it sry for the misunderstanding. the preceding unsigned comment is by JJstroker (talk • contribs)

Please do not vfd pages the day they are created. I intend to expand that. I am deeply distressed with this afd nom. --Cool CatTalk|@ 22:29, 31 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
