- Add a subject/headline to your message. If you're making a reply, go back to my talk page, find your message, and click "Edit" next to the subject header. Add a colon (:) to the beginning of your response to indent it.
- Include the exact title of the article or page that you're inquiring about. You can copy this from the title if you visit or edit the page. Put the title between quotations, or (even better), put it between two brackets on either side. Example: [[Bill Gates]].
- Include diff links to any edits or changes that your message involves. This is very important to do if you're able to do so. This helps me to easily navigate to the exact edits or changes you're talking about so that I can help you.
- Sign your message by adding four tildes (~~~~) to the very end of the message body.
- Most importantly: Remember that I'm here to help you. I will treat you with respect no matter what - you have my promise.
